    hi all.. if i build in the corner of my garden within a metre of 2 boundaries and use metal cladding on those 2 sides of the building but wooden cladding on the other 2 sides (my building will be rectangle) will this satifisfy building regs as regards the non combustible materials requirements...

    ok i just had a quick dig in the garden.. i dug four holes in approx the places where the corners of the building would be. ive found that around 4/5 inches below the surface there is already around 8/9 inches of crushed stone.. any ideas on why this could be? a neighbour has told me a past...

    thats good news mike.. yes meaning the walls would be 75mils thick. i was planning dimensions of 8ft x 6ft but this can be adjusted if need be.. will i need a rethink?

    also would be acceptable if i didnt bring the osb down to the floor? ie could i use one sheet of 8x4 horizontally on the back of my frame then place the frame on top of plinth and fasten down with straps the same as in your diagram? thanks.
