White filler on sanded hardwood door.

It's likely my girlfriend already has some of the paint you linked to. I'll give it a go. Thanks.

White filler on sanded hardwood door.

Before I put osmo polyx on my meranti (I think) door, I'd really like to tone down the whiteness of the few filler spots on the door. It also has white filler in the cracks round the fancy inlay panels. I have some rosewood dye but it's too dark. Still better than white though. Is there any way...

    Sanding a bathroom floor

Almost finished. Just put the first coat of osmo polyx on and I'll give it one more coat in the morning. That's the last time I'm going to do a sanding job on a floor. Even though I tried to keep doors closed to limit the spread of dust, it's still managed to get everywhere. The floor was hard...

    Sanding a bathroom floor

I have a heat gun. I'll try it tomorrow with a regular scraper and see if it looks like it might be a goer with a better scraper.

    Sanding a bathroom floor

What do you mean, on a half sheet?

    Sanding a bathroom floor

What type of floor sander would I hire? The area is too small for a drum sander. Would I get an edging sander or belt sander or is there another tool more suited to the job?

    Sanding a bathroom floor

My bathroom opepe hardwood floor is getting a bit scuffed and worn in places so I'm looking to either put a new finish straight over the old one, or maybe take the old finish off if I have to. I think the old finish is a lacquer (bonakemi?) I think I also put a stain on the bare wood before I...

Recommend me a good impact driver please.

I've ordered a bosch but I did order the batteries too as I assumed they were different to the 36 volt ones for my drill driver.

Recommend me a good impact driver please.

The screws are timber tite and the bits are made by bosch and sent to me by the screw supplier when I rang them to find out if anything could be done to minimise/eliminate cam out.

Recommend me a good impact driver please.

My friend lent me his makita impact driver to try out this afternoon and I can confirm that cam out is no longer an issue whereas with my drill driver it was a very irritating issue. The impact driver also makes much less of a splintered mess as the head of the screw counter sinks into the...

Recommend me a good impact driver please.

I'm doing a job at the moment that involves screwing together 3 x 18mm osb boards with 50mm screws. The job will take 20,000 screws. I'll be doing the job for a few hours every day using about 300 or 400 screws at a time. It is a job that comes up every year or so as the product I'm making gets...

I've used it before for dust extraction and over time it does get holes in.

    Repair or replace tct blades.

Been having a sort out and looking at some of my old blades I really don't know if I should send them to be sharpened and any missing teeth replaced or should I just buy a new blade. How do you judge when the time is right to replace? The blades are years old and have already had numerous trips...

New blade for wadkin bsw 20

Could any one please recommend somewhere online for a quality rip saw blade. Preferably 20 inch rather than 500mm but 500mm would do. Not on a budget, looking for good quality. Thanks.
