    Stanley no52

    I Have managed to get my hands on a mint LN 51 shooting plane and want to make a shooting board. It will be a near copy of the old Stanley 52. how ever I need some measurements, especially of the plane runway. Can anyone help ?

    Pickles Ransome Lathe, Wadkin forerunner ??

    Just come accross this lathe, made by Pickles Ransome ltd. Looks exacly the same as my Wadkin RS. Wonder did they copy the Wadkin or did Wadkin buy the design or company and then make the lathes as the RS ??

    1840's Scottish chest

    My latest project, the restoration of a really nice Scottish chest of drawers. Using period materials, cut nails and glue. Most of the joints on the interior had failed and there was / is a lot of age related wear on the runners and drawer sides and joints. but when finnished it will be a stunner.

    Remaking dovetail saw handle

    Just started a new handle for a nice brass back, dovetail saw. I picked the saw up in a general market, in a pound bin. Handle was broken and wormed. But the saw itself was a very nice brass back dovetail saw, so had it and should look good when done.
