    New Fence Posts?

Recently installed (using the durapost products) over 30m of closeboard panels to replace an absolutely wrecked one made from spurs, wooden posts and featheredge. IMO it's absolutely brilliant and I can't recommend it enough to anyone who's in the position to completely replace an old fence...

Aldi Bandsaw ( new model) coming soon. Buy it or choose other model

Fool me once and all that. Placed an order after the last one was sent back. Arrived today. Not assembled yet, but all looks good so far. Side note: I strongly believe that whilst XDP aren’t my favourite courier, the units suffered most of the damage before the courier got their hands on them.

    Crazy world

I made the mistake of not keeping an eye on the HP instant ink usage during that time one month. Eye watering prices if you go over your plan allocation.

    Router Bits

Can anyone help me out with some router bit advice? I'm looking for a 1/2" radius roundover over bit for a MDF project and I don't have anything planned for further use yet. I have a small 1/4" router and a larger more powerful router Triton MOF001 that will accommodate 1/4" and 1/2" bits. Is...

    Rock Salt

Perhaps you could try using smaller crystals held together with resin instead? Edit: Have a look at this - Rock Salt Bottle Stopper Bonus - YouTube

Aldi Bandsaw ( new model) coming soon. Buy it or choose other model

They're quite a bulky item and they'd take up valuable floor space for smaller items that shift in larger quantities I would think.

Aldi Bandsaw ( new model) coming soon. Buy it or choose other model

Just had my order refunded. I'll be absolutely honest; If this came up again next year and I hadn't found a good secondhand one at that point, I'd still take a punt.

Aldi Bandsaw ( new model) coming soon. Buy it or choose other model

I'd agree with you there. The base damage is possibly done whilst in transit (and I believe that it was before that), but there is no way that the table was because it was packaged underneath the extension. The fence is also showing signs of damage.

Was about to start setting up and this is the first thing I saw on the table. Looks like someone took a grinder to it. Back it goes.

Did you send photos? Possibly luck of the draw depending on the CS agent?

Aldi Bandsaw ( new model) coming soon. Buy it or choose other model

I had a call offering £30 + a £5 goodwill voucher. I haven't put the thing together, let alone tested it yet. Will work on it over the next couple of days to see if I send it back or not. Like another poster has said, it's still got the 3 year warranty and if it's good despite the base I'll...

Aldi Bandsaw ( new model) coming soon. Buy it or choose other model

Bandsaw delivered late last night after chasing Aldi. Opened this morning to the same bent base issue as others here. I've contacted Aldi about it. I don't know why Aldi insist on using (in my experience) poor couriers like XDP and Hermes.

Been busy and missed a text from XPD. Checked tracking, photo shows wrong house and signature is misspelled surname. Not happy and I'm not confident it's there.

I guess you're technically right. In practice, I'd fail miserably.

    Joining bay window boards

Found and older thread on here and the butt joint I'm referring to is a "Mason's Mitre". Always learning!

    Joining bay window boards

I do have reservations about the practicality of fixing from underneath (I have considered pocket screws), but my concern is around being able to fit the entire piece in one go. I feel that I'd really make a hash of it and am far more confident of getting a better fit and finish if I'm able to...

    Joining bay window boards

The smaller run of window board is not confined by a wall on the end so it should be easier to get them to mate properly. I would definitely groove along the entire end of the board though as you've suggested. Thanks for the advice!
