Only just seen this post but for whst its worth be aware their fridge freezers are ok but if door seal gets damaged no replacement available you have to buy new door!!!!

Are there any businesses near you that manufacture wooden stuff (furniture for instance) they often have a fire bin which could yield useful bits n pieces!

My little workshop is insulated all round and also roof. Have a small electric radiator running on low setting 24/7 when lots of rain/ice etc, and we live in open countryside quite high uo, SO FAR NO PROBLEMS WITH ANY TOOLS,🤞🤞 I also run a littlebit of finishing wax along my little lathe bed...

Total novice here but just a suggestion, would stable mats (I have horses) or slightly cheaper cow mats, (for milking parlours I think) be any use for this, my little workshop has them and rest insulated and works very well. Good luck

Aw what a shame, sometimes the people who run these schemes want to keep it as "their" project etc, on the other hand maybe they lost your contact details, might be worth a quick call.

Hi. Have you tried looking for a wood carving club near you, often do wood turning as well, the one I go to has lots of members with lots of experience and skill, they always happy to help and advise. As a starter welsh lovespoons are quite good there are many designs so you can try different...
