Recomendations for 1/2" router and table

Have a look at this. https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/threads/trend-crt-mk3-t11-router-and-bits.146354/#post-1726792 I have the same setup and it has been great for me.

For Sale Trend CRT MK3, T11 router and Bits

I've got this same setup, and for a hobbyist like me, it has worked flawlessly since I got it. The T11 lives permanently in the table, adjusted from the top using a trend digital depth gauge.

    Flooring options for existing workshop

I used Costco techno floor hard rubber flooring. It doesnt look to be online, but was in 2 flavours. A grill mat (92x163), and a gym mat ( i think it was approx 2x1m). £15 and £31 respectively. It comes rolled, and they take an age to go completely flat. But they are great for moving machines...

Pins were these from Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07FB869WR - wasn't sure if they would do, but they have been fine.

What @Doug71 said. If you fix the shelves with Dominoes, they are fixed for good. What I did was to use pins so I can easily adjust the shelf heights as books require. mine was a much smaller scale to yours, if I was doing the scale you are, I would fix the middle shelf with dominoes and use...

    Quangsheng 4 1/2 plane

I've got the Woodriver 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 equivalents. Bought from @Peter Sefton and WWW. Sadly they no longer supply them. But these two are my favourite planes, the 5 1/2 being my go to plane. Always had good CS from WSH too, just about to drop them an order for a quangsheng small router.

AC400 Record Power air filter - not working

Just about to try my first replacement remote today. RP also sent out the replacement board in error, so I have both to try if it's not just the remote. Also would like to complement the staff and CS at Record Power. They have been really prompt dealing with this.

Woodworking & craft shows and events…

I went yesterday, and it is always smaller than harrogate. Bought quite a few bowl blanks, met the 2 nice folk from Joblings, watched a good demo from Andrew Hall turning. Not much else took my eye. It was nice to have a good drive out in sunshine too.

Trend CRT mk3 and T10 router

you are right - it is spendy, but I can assure you being able to dial in a 0.1mm increase in height as easy as pie is a boon. Make sure you get one of the (trend) digital depth gauges too - takes any guess work right out of it.

Festool Kapex new user - impressed!

yup - love mine too. I paid a net princely sum of £415 about 4.5 years ago for mine (std KS60). Been worth every penny. At the time festool were offering (i think) £50 cash back. Not seen any of these deals recently - do festool still offer the occasional cash back? I did buy the e-set...

Trend CRT mk3 and T10 router

keep the table and sell the t10?? Then buy a t11. I've done absolutely loads with that setup - never missed a beat. I doubt it would work for a pro shop - but for DIY / hobby use it works for me.

Trend CRT mk3 and T10 router

Hi Steve, I could be wrong here, but i dont believe the T10 has the fine adjuster. The T11 definitely has, i have this in a crt mk3. You can see the specs here https://www.trend-uk.com/t11router https://www.trend-uk.com/t10router

Axminster 'out of stock'? Maybe not

I think it depends on the branch. When i wanted a veritas shooting board plane, only Newcastle had one. I rang , paid for it and they shipped it to me, only it had to go back to devon to the mail order team and then they sent it to me, so Newcastle > Axminster > South Yorkshire. Yup it went...

    Council charges and DIY refuse

Here you need a (free) permit or ID to prove you live in the borough. Then the only limitation is 5x25kg building rubble every 4 weeks. Pretty much everything else is accepted

    Bosch 12V circular saw

Yep I’ve got one. Use it very infrequently. Only used it for cross cutting boards. It has always seemed really underpowered. I only have 3ah batteries though, not convinced a larger capacity would help it. Probably just a bit better than the “expensive toy” bracket. If / when it dies I would...
