    Hotmail

If those emails are in your junk folder then it sounds like their junk filtering is working just fine. They keep junk items in a separate folder (rather than deleting them, for example) so you can check it periodically to make sure no "real" emails have been junked.

    Blower adaptor?

You'd have to check the sizes, but would something like this do? https://www.axminster.co.uk/flanged-spigots-500181

    Re: Dust extraction

Axminster have just started selling metal ones. Peter Parfitt has reviewed / unboxed it on YouTube if you want to take a look.

    FTAGH: Empty Toolboxes

The following empty tool / sorting boxes are free to a good home (FTAGH). They will need to be collected from Durham City, and you can have as many as you want. Unless otherwise stated, the boxes are completely empty. Bosch L-Boxx 102 (I think it's a 102 - it originally came with Bosch...

New battery for Ferrex Brad nailer.

18v and 20v are the same set of batteries, just measured differently. Those battery packs contain 6 linked together 3v lithium cells. 6x3=18. However, if you measure the voltage of those cells when they're fully charged it'll be around 3.4v. 6x3.4=20.4. The batteries very quickly drop down to 3v...

Incra iBox - Anyone familiar with it?

How do you do your first cut on the second board? You need to flip over the first board, put its first cut over the fingers and the butt your second board upto it. Your first cut on the second board should cut to the edge of the board. It looks like something is going wrong there.

Which dust extractor charnwood, Axminster or itech

I would go for the FM300BC and if you need more fine filtration get the cartridge to replace the bag. That's what I did and it's a great extractor. RickG - you're not comparing like with like in terms of the RP extractor, it's low volume high pressure whereas the others discussed are high...

Record Power Band Saw Owners: Advice Sought

Also, I understand the reason for the short channel in the face (they have to maintain the rigidity of the front face and a full channel would compromise that), but I have no idea why the slot narrows to an unusable width when the fence is in its upright position. I've just checked mine and it...

Record Power Band Saw Owners: Advice Sought

I went for the Axminster Deluxe Rip Fence Upgrade. My main complaint with the original one with the BS350S was the screw locking mechanism which always seemed to move the fence from where I'd set it. The locking lever on the Axminster one doesn't seem to do this, so I'm happy with it.

Record Power Band Saw Owners: Advice Sought

I have the same bandsaw but use an aftermarket fence. I'll check to see if I've still got the nuts from the old fence and can send you them if I still have them. Might not get a chance to look today, but I'll get back to you soon.

The Axminster AC216TS thread - impressions and tips etc.

I'd be worried about modifying the riving knife to allow dado cuts with such a new saw. I imagine that would void any warranty. Point taken about it being possible though.

The Axminster AC216TS thread - impressions and tips etc.

I nearly ordered one earlier today, but was put off by the riving knife / blade guard assembly not supporting dado-like cuts. Fancied making a crosscut sled and cutting grooves with it, but now I'm not sure.

Charnwood W619 Or Axminster Craft AC216TS Table Saw

If you check your basket you'll see around 980 (977 when I checked) need to be back ordered. So I guess that means they've got around 20 left.

    Record power bs350 bandsaw

I have the same bandsaw and have made my own runners for sleds because, as you said, the bs350 mitre slot is annoyingly non-standard. Thin bit of wood or hdpe does the job fine.

Anyone got the Rutlands cheap 100mm DE?

Do you mean the Heavy Duty Chip and Dust Collector - 550 Watt - DK7108 or the High Filtration Dust Collector - 50 Litre - DK7109? They have different types of motor, so it'll help to know which one it is.

    band saw upgrade

This would certainly be an upgrade to the ALDI bandsaw you're using at the moment. But something I'm coming to appreciate more over time is the cost (in time/frustration as well as money) in buying something "just good enough for what I need now". Before offering suggestions of actual machines...

    Nail Guns (pins really)

What I did in your situation was get a small 'silent' compressor (9litre Orazio ~£90) and then an air nailer (Tacwise 18G 50mm ~£60), plus the air line and connectors etc. I knew I'd be wanting a compressor eventually anyway for casting woodturning projects (although I haven't got round to that...

Chop Saw not cutting right through

My first guess would be the depth stop has been engaged by accident. Check the manual if you're not sure where it is (it's to the right of the blade on my bosch scms).

Tool & general advice for new workshop

My thoughts for your questions (not knowing your budget): 1) A table saw is incredibly useful, but if you are working with mostly 8x4 sheet material have you considered a track saw instead? Wielding stock that size on a table saw (especially if you purchase from your b) or c) options) isn't...

ISOtunes - Earprotection with bluetooth for music and phone?

I ordered some only three weeks ago from WoodWorkersWorkshop and they were delivered immediately from UK stock. I've just checked and the same website now lists them as pre-order, so they may just be out of stock. There is a note on the page that says you can call them to check availability, so...
