SOLD : Axminster Trade Series EX-16 Scroll Saw

So I'm selling my scroll saw. I bought it a year ago, from Axminster, and its only been used about half a dozen times due to me developing arthritis in my fingers not long after it arrived which was a total pisser. Its in brilliant condition but it is a bit dusty due to me forgetting to hook...

    MDF

The MDF from Homebase is totally useless for doing intricate stuff with. It’s ideal for doing stuff like large letters and numbers though

The Tricoya and Valchroma look interesting. Pricey though. I’ve never heard of SRPB tbh

    MDF

HI all, I'm trying to make an Aztec calendar on my CNC router. I'm not having much success due to the MDF breaking away at points where the engraving is quite intricate. I'm just wondering do you get different grades of MDF or stuff thats a higher density? I've been getting mine from Homebase.

To be honest it would be getting used a lot. I make stuff out of old barrels and staves so this sounds ideal. Thanks.

    Recommend a random orbital sander.

Hi, I'm looking for a bit of advice. I need a decent, heavy duty, with decent RPM, random orbital sander that will sand oak whisky barrels. Bearing in mind that the barrels are old and have black layer on the outside that can go in about a couple of mm so it needs to have a bit of oomph. I...

    Saw won't start

To be honest I've onky ever had a problem once, with Ebuyer. I'd bought a water cooler for my PC which started rattling a week out of warranty. They wanted me to send it to the states where it was made and deal with the manufacturer direct. I refused, quoted the sale of goods act blah blah etc...

    Saw won't start

A warranty means nothing to be honest. Consumer law states that Goods must be of ‘Satisfactory quality, As Described, Fit for purpose And last a Reasonable length of Time’ If the original poster is just out of warranty then contact the seller if you still have the receipt . Quote..... Within...

    Too early for Xmas scrolling?

I like these, what type of wood is it if you don't mind me asking? I was going to try and make some out of old oak barrel staves that are no good for anything else, not sure if inch thick oak is the ideal wood though.

Need advice on a Hegner saw.

In the end I decided not to go for second hand or cheap. Ended up buying and AXMINSTER TRADE SERIES EX-16. In for a penny in for a pound as they say. One more question... I do a lot of stuff with oak whisky barrel staves. Make clocks, candle holders etc. The're an inch thick, whats the best...
