Which wood finishes contained TCE / trichloroethylene?

I read an article earlier today about the possible / probable link between TCE and Parkinson's, and also discovered that it has apparently been used in certain wood finishes in the past (and maybe the present, too, in countries where it isn't banned). My Uncle died a few years back after a...

    What wood is this?

A neighbour had a tree chopped down in their garden, and let me have a few bits from the pile. I asked because the colour seemed really quite special. The way the heartwood is a totally different from the sapwood is really striking. Does anyone have any idea what it might be? I'm guessing it...

    Emco Rex B30 planer thicknesser

I recently purchased an Emco Rex B30 planer thicknesser. It was very cheap, primarily (I thought) because it had been pretty badly treated, left to corrode in a humid barn for years. What wood is this?

Found an 'interesting' log (i.e. very heavy and hard) so I turned it into some usable pieces. Can anyone tell me what it is? I'm afraid my ability to identify wood that I haven't bought out of a labelled rack is pretty poor! I'll add pictures of it before and after oiling. Thanks!
