    Palm Router Table

I've upgraded to a full sized router table which leaves this surplus to requirements. The plate is 10mm perspex drilled for a Makita RT0700 but easy enough to fit another one. Dust extraction works really well, fence is solid and square, lots of cubby holes for storage. Roughly 800x600x400mm...

    Handles?

Almost finished a mid-century modernish TV table - Sketched out most of the dimensions and made a full size plan for the feet (my first attempt at angled joinery!), but totally forgot to account for handles. The historical record (ie typing mid-century furniture into google image search)...

    Cheaper Festool Dust Bags

Just received some bags to fit my Festool CTL Midi extractor from www.dustbag.co.uk - half the price of official ones. Made of sturdy material, no loss of suction. Obviously I'll report back if they explode, otherwise a nice little saving.

    End Grain Inlay

I picked up a couple of bits of London Plane a while back with spectacular endgrain. I'd quite like to use some for inlay (into a Cherry tabletop). Any potential issues with wood movement when inserting inlay the "wrong" way round ie endgrain facing up? The inlay will be around 5mm max wide...

    Another PT260 thread - blades?

I swapped out the blades that came with my Record Power PT260 a while back for some Xcaliber ones from eBay. Those are now seeming a bit blunt too, so a couple of questions - Are the Xcaliber disposable (they seem pretty flimsy)? Can anyone recommend a decent place to have the originals...

    WIP - Moxon Cabinet

Thought I'd weigh in with a work in progress thread. I'm fairly new to woodwork so any tips, advice or criticism welcomed! My mission is to build a cabinet to store tools that incorporates a Moxon vice and benchtop. The bench I built last year is perfect for planing, chopping mortices etc but...

    Repairing Exterior Woodwork

I've set myself the task of renovating all the doors and windows in my new house. This will involve cutting out some areas of rotten wood, replacing and filling with Dry Flex. I'll then be fitting draught excluders. A few questions - Is it worth investing in a Dremel type tool? Should I try...

    Repairing A Double Glazed Window

The glazing bars have pulled away from the glass on at least one of the windows in my new house (last owners clearly not too keen on maintenance, unfortunately). Modern double glazed units so they're just planted on. Is there a decent fix for this? I've thought about getting some clear siicone...

    Using sapwood?

Can sapwood be used as a secondary wood? I've only recently started buying rough sawn/waney edge timber and processing it. Exhibit A - I'll be ripping the nice figured side of that Ash, but seems a shame to use the rest for starting a fire!
