    Fine dust extractor

The true about salesman is correct in any aspect of life thus I've read a lot about and asked here for advice rather than pop to the shop. At the moment believe as bought the best possible extractor available. I've got large belt/disc sander but heavily modified and there are no factory dust...

    Fine dust extractor

I remember what you said and only quoted Axminster answer.Im a bit confused with maths calculations which looks right but flow rate provided by them is completely different Basically, I need to know if the second line will work Don't want to spend money on something that doesn't work. Can you...

    Fine dust extractor

The cabinet is pretty tight I've used 5-micron bag and workshop itself was quite clean. I've sent an enquiry to the Axminster and they said as with 2 100mm pipes connected each one will have 1,200 m³/hr Do you think its correct?

    Fine dust extractor

Thank you that's explained a lot. Ducting is pretty new and doesn't want to change it right now, to be honest. The main idea is to add an extra 100mm flex hose above sander and it will be no more than 2.5 meters long. What difference will be between my current "850m3" and the new one "1200m3"...

    Fine dust extractor

Ok, Thanks for that but the machine recommended by you is only 300m³/hr whilst the new one just bought is 2,250 m³/hr. I've got closed cabinet where DX is located with a fan which removes all smaller particles outside anyway. Just don't know what additional hose to buy.I've got 110mm ducting...

    Fine dust extractor

You are absolutely right, my fault Can somebody tell me what air flow will be with 2 x100 mm ducting if 1,200 m³/hr @ 100 mm / 2,250 m³/hr @ 175 mm

    Fine dust extractor

Thanks for helpful answers. Might be wrong but your calculations are not quite right? My results are 27sq mm for 110 mm and 43 sq mm for 175 mm. So if I'm right adding another 3-inch pipe will be equal as 1 x175mm. Obviously, my machines don't have 175mm connections but if possible I would like...

    Fine dust extractor

I've decided and bought Axminster one. I haven't a good experience with them before however with quite narrow choose in the UK it looks like the best and most recommended shop around. I've got 1 more odd question. There state as best will be connected to the 175mm ducting but I've got 110mm...

    Fine dust extractor

That's surprising me, to be honest, I've read a lot about different extractors and systems on this forum and mostly LPHV type was recommended. I've got a similar model to the numatic bought a few years ago but its absolutely useless due to clogging filter really often. At the moment I've got...

    NVR switch question

Hello I have a small workshop and recently added lean-to extension where planned move dust extractor. I would like to switch it on and off from workshop rather than go to the extension each time I want to use it. Can anyone advise how to "extend" NVR switch? Thanks in advance

Hard decision, need help! Hegner 2S or Ex 21

Maybe Yes but feel as machine designed for Trade use should be more reliable. Especially on that thin material. Even Axminster engineering said they have many returns so have to be something wrong Scroll saw is used for curve cuts only for straight Ive got 3 different sizes bandsaws .

Hard decision, need help! Hegner 2S or Ex 21

Well Yes and No Everything depends what you are doing . On Excalibur almost never used speed slower than max. On my beloved Russian saw max speed is much higher, dont know exactly but will say as about 2500 , sadly its only 15 inch throat.

Hard decision, need help! Hegner 2S or Ex 21

I have pretty old saw ,probably older than me (38) and construction look very similar to hegner and...
