    Have I undersold myself here?

That's perhaps what worries me most!

    Have I undersold myself here?

Thank you all so much for all the responses! There's a lot of great feedback here so for that you all have my thanks. I'll put you out of your misery, I charged £750 for the pair, so possibly as little as half the reasonable value! I'm not salty about that, they are for friends and I thoroughly...

But i've not said how much I charged yet...

    Have I undersold myself here?

Perhaps I should add all the wood was in rough sawn slabs to begin with, it was all resawn, planed and thicknessed, the front panels by hand...

    Have I undersold myself here?

Hi All, I got asked to make these two side tables by some friends but they weren't looking for mates rates, they were happy to pay a fair price for them. This is the first woodwork job i've ever charged properly for so i'd like to see how close to the mark you lot think I am with my pricing...

    What are these?

Hey all, my friend is sorting out her departed dad's tools and has got down to the box of "I don't knows", does anyone have any insight into what these are? received_174737954426598 received_854344038752543 These are sharp on the circular tip and also sharp inside apparently, I guess where...

Post a photo of the last thing you made

I made us a new bed, which probably should have had a thread but sometimes don't you just want to get on with it instead of taking photos? Made from oak, oak veneered ply and some hardwood ply for the hidden bits. Yes, there are a couple of spots of rot on the headboard, but the oak was...

    Memorial Park Bench

Without further ado: Just need to cut the other 31 pieces out of this lot and it's job done: Before anyone mentions the sacrilege of ripping down big slabs into matchsticks, my friend wants the bench made of her late fathers supply of wood, and it's all slabbed like this. Honestly I did my...

    Memorial Park Bench

Hi all, I have a question about constructing a park-style bench that i was hoping the hivemind could answer, and I thought that in return I would supply you with a nice picture heavy project thread, so everybody wins! The project is intended to look like so: The question I have is the rear...

Clamps, lots and lots of clamps! Do you have any pictures of the front door? I'd be keen to see what £5k in door form looks like!

    Is this clamp too wonky?

UPDATE: Well Axi's quality control might be a bit off but their customer service was on point. I have a new clamp winging it's way to me as we speak and I've been asked to 'dispose' of the old one as I see fit. I'm thinking I might yet be able to salvage the clamp to be largely usable, I guess...

I have an imposter in my elm pile!

Hi all, My friend's dad unfortunately died a couple of months ago, and she asked me to make a memorial park bench for him. Well I was super honoured to be asked, and what I think is brilliant is that i'll be making it from his own giant stash of slabbed elm which seems particularly fitting. I'll...

    Is this clamp too wonky?

Thanks for the unanimous response everyone! As soon as they open up I'll get in touch.

Has anyone mastered the Hovel pencil plane?

I made a little stand to hold one of my small planes upside down and it works just the same, with the advantage that I can still use it as a plane too! I also found it breaks the leads just before they get nice and sharp, i'm not sure there is really any clever trick to it aside from patience...

These are my "oh, no, I forgot to get my mum something for Christmas" simple kumiko coasters. She loved them!

    Is this clamp too wonky?

Happy Christmas all! I was the very happy recipient of two Ax trade long reach clamps from my dad (clamp count has now hit 75+, I may almost have half as many clamps as I need), however when I got them home and had a good look, one appears to be on the wonk and I wanted to see if you guys think...

Cedar strip canoe - moving swiftly on

The whatsapps have been coming thick and fast, the stripping is now almost complete, with no extra unplanned holes I might add! In the picture below you can see some of the various methods required to hold things in place when things get a little tight, masking tape is an absolute...
