My very little used belt sander has died, in that it was producing clouds of smoke and making an unusual noise.
Has anybody had any Proxxon stuff repaired?
They cost about £90 new, so maybe classed as a disposable item?

I've got a fairly expensive HiFi item for sale on the Bay.
Although it's listed "Collection Only" I've had an offer from someone in Hong Kong - should I be very wary?
Not to sure of the ins and outs of selling stuff abroad through the Bay, though I have bought stuff from foreign lands with no...
Anybody know of the "Honeymoon" Bridle Joint?
A friend was told that a piece of furniture, whilst being shown round a stately house, featured one.
I cannot find anything about them.

I was preparing a piece of softwood to repair a window cill.
Rather than use my router table I dug out my Marples 044 to cut a rain drip.
Things were going fine until I hit a knot then a metal hitting floor sound as bits fell down:
Don't think it is repairable? :(

I'm under pressure to get rid of our DVD collection and possibly use some form of server.
I know for legal/copyright reasons I will have to hang onto them somewhere - the loft?
Can anyone recommend some "easy to use" software please? One that doesn't require a lot of manipulation - with a lot...
A metalworking friend posted these links onto me as he knew I used to dabble in knife making.
The CNC machine is amazing but I dread to think if it's cost.
The attention to detail and finish of the Traditional Method maker is incredible.
Post these titles in UTube search:

I maybe missing something here, but the switch gear is mounted in the LHS column and I cannot see how you can get to it?
Any help much appreciated.

My wife has just found that an unauthorised payment of a £1 had been paid from her online bank account to the above company!
Looking at their web it says they are working on behalf of their online partners.
It also opens with a page to get a refund and cancel subscriptions.
My wife is adamant...
Following some info, kindly passed on by BB into my Mansell saw, I came across this information in the way of photos, which shows a part of the sad decline of Sheffields steel industry.
The saw was produced in the Wallace Steel Works, Furnival Street, Sheffield...
Got a nice surprise parcel from my daughters today - a miniature bottle of gin and tonic and a lemon tree!
It will be quite a while before the lemons are ready though? :)

There's a new series started in the F&C about moulding planes, by an anonymous author which I strongly suspect is Richard Arnold ?
But why the anonymity - I've noticed a few times that F&C don't always name the writers - which is even more strange in this case as he talks about his history?
