Collection of 3d printing files relevant for woodworking

Printers nowadays have a failsafe sensor fitted in case of overheating. Mine stopped for this very reason. Can't remember what it said on the screen but I had to change the thermistor, about £15. I have an Artillery Hornet, a very basic printer but good at printing simple stuff. Keep the parts...

    oak or softwood sleepers

As regards to preservative I use the waste oil from oil changes to our cars (protecting any plants near the sleepers with plastic sheets). The sleepers have been in place now for 10+ years and are looking well.

    Humax Freesat box's

Nick, The difference in price might be that the more expensive box is the more recent version. Now that Christmas is past we are going for the Humax youview box. There is a T1000 model and a T2000 model and from reading reviews the T2000 is a lot nippier when going through menus. Its about £80...

Help with a bit of a dilemma

If you are going to put a stove in I wouldn't put the telly above it. We have an Aarrow inset and it belts out some heat. Michael

    Longest thread ever?

Today I will mostly be walking back and forth across a muddy field to pick up logs that I cut last week and if there is time I might get a chance to use a new sawhorse that came through the post http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000QCZ2U0/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Beading on MDF

To get the beading running around the doors and drawers the separate face frame looks to be the way to do it

    Beading on MDF

Yes mseries, it looks like a mitre joint. I do like the look of the thicker face frame that you pointed out Murdoch and means I don't have to do angled cuts. Thanks

    Beading on MDF

Hi all!, I'm going to have a go at making a freestanding kitchen larder of sorts. It's going to be painted MDF. I quite like the beading used in the photo. What way is it jointed to get the 45 degree angle. It's puzzling me. The only way I can think is the end of a board is cut both at 90...

+1 for Plusnet, it takes less than a few minutes for technical support to answer the phone. Never a disconnection.

    Notebook or laptop

I think the name Laptop was changed to Notebook to stop people thinking that they could be set on your lap which can cause overheating by blocking the airways underneath, although I don't know how I know this.

This will brighten up your day !!!!!!

Sometimes it's better to admit defeat and pay someone to do the job for you. Last year I tried to repaint a corrugated roof. I had just finished sanding with a drill and wire brush bit when I put a foot on a corrugated skylight and fell 16-18 feet on a concrete floor, just beside an oil drum...

    Question for computer people

If the ink on and in the heads are dried up take the whole assembly out and place in a saucer of lukewarm water. This has helped me in the past.

    Rescuing a CD

If the cd has music on it I can say that I once had a cd that was really badly scrapped and no cd player could play it so I had a go at putting the cd in the PC and ripped the music to mp3. Worked a treat and the songs werent missing any bits. Michael
