    Wood glue

I've been using the gorilla glue wood glue for my general projects, table tops etc.. and I've also used the polyurethane gorilla glue when I need extra sticking power or gluing to metal. The wood glue seems decent. Dries quickly and clear colour. I'm not sure it's good value for money though...

Guide Rail for Worx Circular saw

I've got the Worx circular saw with its unique pivoting edge, so you can slide along a straight edge. Trouble is I don't always have a good straight edge, so could someone recommend a guide rail. Ive looked on amazon at guide rails, but most seem to be made for track saws - Makita and the...

    Choice of timber

Hi guys, was looking for some input on a good choice of timber for outdoors, seating, decking and trim on my steel boat. I had chosen southern yellow timber for this, but have discovered over time it has gone an awful nutty brown colour. I had one coat of Osmo uv protection on it. Anyway, would...

    Steps

Hi I made some template steps into my narrow boat, just 3 steps on ply, but I'll make them of a hard timber next. But the edge seems a bit sharp to me now looking at them. Is it standard to cut the edge down to match the angle the steps are in or is it better to let the man petrude out a bit...

Hello, I've been asked to do a bed frame, and side box/steps for a teenagers bedroom on a liveaboard widebeam boat. Theses boats are pretty much dry all year round, slight condo station in winter. Anyway, I was thinking solid ply of some kind would do for framing in this bed which sits over...

Hi, haven't been on the forum in a long time. Have been re-building a boat. Anyway, saw some interesting mouldings in an upmarket shop in London, It seemed to be oak dowels, maybe 25mm wide, ripped down and used as cladding on walls. Surely this is super expensive, just pine dowels are £15 a...
