    Multitool advice

Filament, sideways, thanks for input, I'll see if I can get the carbide edged blades. John, I've got a recipe saw as well, but the shed is going to my mates niece and as my recip saw is a bit of a beast, I'm looking for a but more 'precision' to keep things neat as possible.

    Multitool advice

Folks I have to help a mate dis assemble a garden shed. I'll have to use a multi tool to cut hidden nails to separate the panels. Anyone got any experience of a good blade (for a Fein) to cut through nails, and maybe some screws as well?

    Multitool advice

I'm sure every knows, but the original Fein was designed to cut plaster casts off patients, without causing much damage to the patient, should the tool inadvertently contact the patients skin.

    Multitool advice

I bought a cheap bosch to do a job, did what I needed, but vibrated a lot. Gave that to son in law and bought a corded Fein.. brilliant tool, very refined, feels like it will last for ever. A mate saw my Fein and decided he needed one, he got a de walt and I thought that was pretty good too. My...

Wood fillers for oak office table top

I've done the dust and glue thing, but found it just creates a very dark filler, I tried the same with dust and shellac and it wasn't much better. Maybe using the wrong glue, in my case just a common or garden PVA.

What angle should screws be with a 45d gallow shelf brackets?

As per SD's recommendation, glue it first, then clamp it to avoid movement and put the screw in from the rear face.

Post a photo of the last thing you made

'Viking' Tafl game. White pieces are Ash finished with BLO, black pieces are Oak finished with India ink. Board is plain old pine from local builders merchant, with Sapele inlay, bought a 2mm bit to use on the router for that. A box is being made to hold the pieces, and the board will act as the...

    Record Coronet Herald bench feet.

I've got the same lathe you are contemplating. I love it. It's well made, runs well, good value for money. Like others I'd highly recommend the feet, they will add more weight than timber blocks. If you need to call Record power for advice and guidance, there is always someone knowledgeable at...

    Invisible glued joint

Folks I need to glue some pine edge to edge and for the join to be invisible. I've got the boards so that when pressed together, the joint is pretty much as I want, ie really hard to follow the the join line. I've used PVA in the past and in many instances that has left a dark tell tale along...

    UK Drills?

I used them once, they supplied some absolute rubbish, I rang to complain, they said that they would refund the cost if I sent it back. They also told me the bit I bought was Chinese. I chucked it in the bin and put it down to experience. Not saying that all their stuff is Chinese junk though.

    Duckboards

Thanks all, I have some teak that my father had when I was a boy, it must be 60 years old at least, I'll also look at the plastic thing, but our shower tray is German manufacture and of a size that you don't regularly see. Appreciate the input, thanks again.

    Duckboards

Folks, I'd like to make some wooden duck boards, essentially a grid to stand on, for a shower cubicle. Is there any wood which will stand up to repeated soaking without rotting? Or should I forget the whole idea?

URGENT - please read this - scam alert

Once had my credit card company call me about my account. In the end we agreed to end the call, and I initiated a new...
