    Wanted Bandsaw rip fence

I fitted the Kreg one - it can be used either side of the blade but the rail fits tight up against the table so needs to be removed to change the blade. Looks like the Record one above keeps the blade change slot free?

Festool 576481 18V TID Impact Drill Bare Unit in Systainer £149 at FFX

Pretty good deals across the range of TiD 18C plus sets too if you need the batteries - I have a few big 18V batteries but a smaller one would be useful for the TiD. https://ffx.co.uk/product/get/Festool-576483-4014549360736-18V-2X3.1Ah-Tid-Plus-Impact-Drill#FPD...

    Overhead dust extraction/power cords

Ha - Doug beat me to it! Similar solution for me, the bungee hooks run along the metal strip... And the cable is held on by the braided sleeve and heat shrink tubing.

    Security cameras

Marcros, I have a Swann setup similar to your link and it is pretty good. Mine is an older version, which may still be available in certain places, which has wireless cameras and a hard disk for recordings. Current models seem to have a HDD recorder with the wired versions but not for the...

    Jointer knife setting jig

Ah - light bulb moment - take the springs out! I got one of those ebay/Woodford Tooling jigs - for an Axminster AW106PT2. Not sure if it is identical to the Axminster one, or a cheap copy, but all I proved initially was that the spring pressure was enough to push the central body of the jig up...

    Money abroad - who's a seasoned traveller?

Having been to Europe a few times recently, including Rome, I would suggest taking far less cash. Cards are taken almost everywhere but it depends whether you have one which is free from foreign exchange fees. The Lloyds rewards cards are one of the few remaining cards with no FX fees. Curve...

    Any classic vehicle wiring experts?

You might also need to be sure whether it is negative earth - many early cars were positive earth.

    Changing gas n electric suppliers...

I don't think they can do that unless you are on an appropriate tariff. I think the hope is that people will want to go on a variable tariff if they can see a saving. The selling point will not be that it is more expensive at peak times, but that it is cheaper at off-peak times - which would...

    Shed Bases.........Directly onto soil?

You only need about 3" for something like a shed but check the firmness of the soil beneath. If the base is bigger than the shed, you really need to raise the shed on wooden bearers to stop water splashback onto shed walls. Putting it on wood also helps to keep the shed itself out of the wet -...

    Changing gas n electric suppliers...

Yes - Hive can be bought outright or on a pay monthly basis. Pay monthly includes breakdown cover. We have Hive which works a treat. It was originally installed by BG as part of new boiler install, but has been updated since. We have switched several times, mostly through the cheap energy...
