Secret Santa 2019 - thanks, everyone.

Sorry a little late to post but I was given a lovely marking gauge. Really nicely made and the ability to do curves is about to come in really useful. I’m delighted. Thanks Santa

Photographing work in customers house - a violation or not?

You do not have the right to take photos inside any private property. You must seek permission. In addition you need to be careful what you are doing with the photos if you are there in a professional capacity then the chances are you’ll come under commercial law and that is very different to...

Domino angled joint to flat face

So the drawing is in plan view? If so then why not rotate the domino 90 degrees so that we are looking at the thin edge of the domino not the width. Then you can use the fence on the domino set to 15 degrees. Does that make sense? Obviously that only works if there is enough depth of material...

    Possibly daft MFT question

I’ve got a MFT style top with a fence and flag stop and it works very well. I added a kreg ruler to it so you just run the flag along it to where you want it and off you go. It’s been a big improvement over just the bench dogs and rails because if kept finding it tricky to nudge my workpiece...

Hi everyone, sorry for the slightly delayed reply. I was delighted to receive a pair of beautifully made marking gauges. They are stunningly well made. I’d like to tell you what woods are used but I’m not sure, maple and ebony maybe, Ash? Or possibly Yew for some bits. Whatever they are lovely...

I’m in! Love this. Also with regards to value, I think I normally spend about £20-30 with a small something I’ve made. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finally finish my MFT style bench!

Ah thanks. Not as much Festool as it probably looks. A couple of sustainers are for hand tools and one if for my Dewalt drill and impact. As for the quick clamps - Aldlidl (I forget which) from anyear or so ago. £5 for a pair or something like that. So just stocked up. I’ve got some beast...

Finally finish my MFT style bench!

The guide rail storage was literally just some old scraps lying about. The bits that you twist are actually a bit of feather edge from my spa house. That said they work really well. I do have a rail bag as well for when I take them out for the day!

Finally finish my MFT style bench!

Well it’s only been about 2 years in the thinking (mostly procrastinating) / building. Finally finished my MFT style cutting bench. Used the parfguide system for the holes. All the drawers are push to open so no need to make handles. I’m pretty pleased with my bench dog storage. You’ll see...
