    another geometry question

Maybe you need to adjust your screen. It looks like a 30-sided polygon to me.

    another geometry question

No. It doesn't show the wrong angle and it doesn't show an ellipse. The polygon has 30 sides as Sunnybob initially said he'd use.

    Using epoxy with Douglas Fir

You can use sawdust as a filler for epoxy but sanding dust would be better. Sawdust in epoxy leaves a a very rough surface. Sanding dust will be much smoother. If mixed to the right consistency, it'll still flow. Heat the wood if you can before adding the epoxy. Pour in a bit of unthickened...

150mm long is close to 6 inches. Do you want the pieces to be 45 mm thick? I've got them at 18 mm here. I can make them 45 if you want.

The angles are as given in the image you supplied. Tell me how thick you want the pieces to be and the length of the longest dimension. That is, do you want close to 6 inches? Or maybe some other dimension?

    Sketchup - 32bit version?

The last 32-bit version of SketchUp was SketchUp 2016. Trimble did not drop 32-bit support right after purchasing SketchUp from Google. You can get the 32-bit version of SketchUp 2016 Make from https://sketchup.com/download/all As for the online version, it is called SketchUp Free. It runs in...

    5 Pointed star. . .

You would need to take off more than the thickness of the mating piece. It would be the length of the angled face. If you'd already cut the angled face, though, you could mark off the thickness of the piece from that face and trim those pieces again.

    5 Pointed star. . .

Yes. You could make it from 10 pieces that are all the same size. :P

    5 Pointed star. . .

I think there's a problem with the lengths. I drew this using the 6 inch length, 3/4 inch thickness and angles as given. The wood referred by the author was "1x2" so it would be 3/4 inch thick. The dimensions given on the website are close but not close enough. The error is multiplied over the...

I've not used one for haunched tenons but it looks like a lot of setup changes to get it done. If you have to do a lot of them, I think there are better, more efficient ways. The instructions indicate the groove must be narrower than the tenon which would require a thin panel. In most cases, I...

    Measuring Basics

Are you doing both the measuring and marking out? If you are, why not make a story board? Transfer the marks from the bar gauge to a piece of plywood about 2m long and 200mm wide. You probably have a suitable scrap at hand. Then take that to the shop and lift the marks off with the beam compass...

Stainless steel will be quite stiff even at 1mm. If you can get it, at least look at it before you buy.
