Don’t the joists need that ventilation?

Interesting if slightly scary looking contraption

My Dad built his shed from recycled orange boxes back in the 1940’s.

    110v tools in home workshop

I use a 110v circular saw but then had it out of a skip! It was ex hire company, only needed new carbon brushes, still going strong after 30+ years! 110v is safer voltage to work with hence it’s use on site but now being replaced by cordless!?

Car Diagnostic scanners - anybody use them?

With respect you had the advantage of knowing that it had already been established that it wasn’t the MAP sensor at fault. A lot of main dealers would no doubt have also initially replaced the MAP sensor!?

    Identifying an old lathe

Is the motor actually any nearer to the centre than the bed? If not then maximum bowl size is unaffected. Hard to tell from the photo!

    Table saw advice.

    Sorry should read H = A.

    Table saw advice.

    Pythagorus (O squared = H squared + A squared). At 45deg O = A.

    Changing door hardware

As the doors are being retained I would be cleaning up the original door furniture and refitting it to retain the Edwardian character!

    Shed roof

It isn’t waterproof, only water resistant. Builder bags are probably ‘similar’ but I have found them ok for covering eg garden furniture etc.

    What is this!?

I can believe that but I am still puzzled that some pieces of wood have effectively been stuck together very close to each other!?

    What is this!?

I had always thought that it was some kind of insect or such like, eg moths. I am pretty certain it is not wet or dry rot, it is something that has been ‘deposited’ on the surface, it does readily brush off.

    What is this!?

Yes there is some woodworm holes.
