    Sorry to be leaving

While I welcome and embrace change, after a few days of reading posts on the revised site, trying to cope with the background colours particularly the white I have come to the conclusion that I am unable to view the pages without “visual discomfort” I have therefore reluctantly decided that I...

ELEKTRA BECKUM 315 BAND SAW ISSUE

No probs :) The only reason I replaced the complete guide assemblies was due to the upper guide brackets needing continual repair due to their age resulting in fatigue fractures of the castings. Their actual operational function was fine. You still have the original lower guide assembly (2...

ELEKTRA BECKUM 315 BAND SAW ISSUE

ELEKTRA BECKUM 315 BAND SAW ISSUE

Although these guides are aftermarket the blades positions were relative in the original E/B guides. This shows the position of a ½ inch blade on the top wheel (on the bottom wheel the teeth are at the front edge of the aluminium) Top right Top Left Bottom right Bottom left Bottom Center...

ELEKTRA BECKUM 315 BAND SAW ISSUE

Forgot to mention, don’t be surprised if the blade runs in different positions on the top and bottom wheel. FWIW just looked in the manual and they do just say track “the blade” central on the tyre. No specific mention of the gullet position. Will post some pictures tomorrow if you still need them

ELEKTRA BECKUM 315 BAND SAW ISSUE

I do have the same saw and you need to track the blade forward on the wheels. Ideally the centre of the blade, (not the gullet) should be approximately central on the tyres.

    Engineered Oak Flooring

I installed engineered oak flooring (4mm thick Oak top layer) 5 years ago which runs continuously through sitting room, dining room and throughout the kitchen. It is subject to normal water from the sink, dishwasher and cooker and is regularly wiped over with floor wipes (for wood and laminate...

    Disc/Belt or Combined sander

I have had my Warco BDS 690 Belt & Disc Sander for over 18 months now and although the price is now £264 I would not hesitate in buying it. It is still advertised as having a 550 watt motor but as in my original post it arrived with a 1hp Induction Motor It is used regularly and for quite...

Thanks for the info. I thought from memory that when sorting in Excel it only sorted individual columns which left other related columns and cells out of sync. Obviously not, just sorted it out #-o #-o
