I am struggling to find a supplier for 9mm dia. aluminium round bar, one metre in length. No problems with 3/8" but it has to be 9mm. Any ideas please?

Whilst I quite like the format of www.ukworkshop.co.uk I appreciate it is 99% woodwork orientated. As I have no interest whatsoever in woodworking, my interests lie with metalworking. What other metalworking forums have you found, and is in a similar vein?

Bit by bit I am loosing some of my twist drills in the smaller sizes. HSS is almost certainly what I have already and generally suits me for my metalworking jobs but should I now go for Titanium coated or Cobalt? Which is 'better' and why?

Dammit! I really like the quality of Dickies Redhawk overalls, quality material, etc but today the zip failed. Basically the zip was undoing behind the slider. I looked closely at the teeth and could see no fluff jammed in the teeth nor misaligned teeth. I applied soap but it made no difference...
