    Doncaster area practical help needed

Bit of a longshot but is there anyone in the Doncaster area with a van and/or trailer and some spare time, who would give me a hand clearing a front and back garden (New Edlington) of weeds... but they are high! Those who were going to help now aren’t, am on a bit of a tight time-schedule (by...

    Driving Test - Mock Theory

This was fun if anyone's ever tried it... http://toptests.co.uk Gratifying to have passed even though it's getting on for forty years ... when theory hadn't even been invented back then! Parallel parking's still a bit challenging though...  It was this article which provoked me...

    Chipping out old glazing putty

This old putty is absolutely rock solid, and whilst I am managing to chip it out gently with scraper and hammer, am not sure if there's an easier way - if anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful. The wood's obviously a lot softer (even though it's oak) and it's certainly challenging to not gouge...

    Jamie McDonald's Canada run

This amazing young guy caught my attention late last year when his mugging was reported online and I've been delighted to contribute and follow his progress. A few explanatory words from his site - As a child, Jamie was in and out of Gloucester Royal hospital for nine years with a rare spinal...

    Quick intro from a newbie

Just wanted to say a quick 'hi' here as I'd responded to an ad in the For Sale bit and didn't want the seller (Teepeg?) to think I was some mad person only trying to get bank details… Been lurking for a while and enjoying what I've been reading very much, just a bit wary of jumping in...
