Bosch GTS 10 XC mod to 3/4 inch mitre track

Hi my goodness was it really 5 years ago. I used two pieces of tuffnoll 10mm and 4mm. If you look at the picture, there is a raised section in the recess where the sliding table fits. I also used shims to get the height correct. Unfortunately I can't remember the thicknesses. [/img]

Bosch GTS 10 XC mod to 3/4 inch mitre track

Hi, Using the track fixing hole as guide, I marked out drilled and tapped fixing holes for the track. I used a small drill stand to ensure the holes in the table were as square as possible. The track was fixed with both Tuffnol plates in place to prevent any sideways movement.

Bosch GTS 10 XC mod to 3/4 inch mitre track

I removed the sliding table to the left of the blade. It was approx 0.5 mm above the table. Purchased some tuffnol. Cut two pieces, installed by drilling and screwing down to the recess where the sliding table was. Then installed the 3/4 inch track (axminster) installed and screwed down second...

    Terminating an electric cooker

I would be more worried about the dreadful wind turbines :)

    Terminating an electric cooker

Diversity is applied in many cases without you realising. For example a ring circuit of sockets has 10 13 amp socket outlets, each capable of supplying 13 amps so by you logic, 10 x 13 amps = 130 (edit did me sum wrong) amps which would require something of the order of 35 mm squared, might be a...

    Terminating an electric cooker

Yes, that's exactly what the regulations state, do a search for cooker diversity factor If you wish to test being amazed, how long will a 10 amp fuse take to blow, when carrying 20 amps

    Terminating an electric cooker

Regarding calculating the load (amps) cable sizing should include the diversity factor, ie not likely all the load shall be in use at the same time. Should be 10 amps plus 5 amps if the cooker unit has socket plus 30% of the total load.

Excessive dust release from table saw

I am talking about the dust extractor motor on the "record Power DX4000 twin motor " not the table saw, apologies if I did not make that clear.

Excessive dust release from table saw

This maybe a wee bit of the wall, you say it is pulling properly. Have you checked both motors are running? Are the both rotating in the same direction. I am assuming the motor are brush motors, a brush motor speed is dependant on the load. If you cover the inlet, the motor will speed up. If one...

    Floor Socket in Home Cinema

Hi, A few years back I built a home cinema in the loft. Had a company do all the structural changes. Plaster board, floor, wiring stairs and finishing I completed. Any way after tripping over the cables to my laptop, decide to install a recessed floor socket. Cutting the opening with the...

    Uprating Motors

probably obvious, ensure the speeds are the same, or you will need to start changing pulleys etc

    Wiring up a footswitch

I take it you are aware if you use this type of switch, you will need to keep it depressed to for the vac to continue running.

    Startrite 352 phase conversion

Sorry but you are in error. Overloads have two function 1 Overload typical set 110% flc Full Load Current 2 Un balance where more or less current in one element due to a motor winding fault, or bad connection or loss of a phase which will cause winding damage, Lowest cost type are thermal...

    Startrite 352 phase conversion

It depends on the electrician, if they could do it. The mechanical bit could get a wee bit complex, there should be a fame number though not always. Which allows matching of the physical parameters. But even more important is to get the motor speed correct, induction motor speed cannot be...

    Startrite 352 phase conversion

no I mean in series if you connected then in parallel then each element will only see 1/3 of the current which means you could with a 60% overload. The only reason for series them is any decent overload unit will have an out of balance element, must see the same current in each phase. So single...

    Metabo Planer/Thicknesser Switch Replacement

Not quite sure what you mean by Black to black - 1.2, 001 & 0.00 why three readings by from one test ? looks like the black and black are a thermal cutout, ie if the temp goes to high it would drop out the motor relay. Here what I would propose for test purposes only can you wire up a 3 core...

    Startrite 352 phase conversion

a 3 phase starter can be used if the operating coil is 240 volt. The starter would require a 3 phase and neutral supply, or a small control transformer in the starter. If an overload is fitted then you need to take the single phase and series it through the 3 phases

    Metabo Planer/Thicknesser Switch Replacement

No problem if ran before then no problem getting it to run, the problem will be hook up the safety devices.
