Help with Fuji Mini Mite 3 with XPC gun

Well I know that the Fuji and appolo's use the same fitting, but apart from that I've no idea. I would replace the needle and buy the spares kit, then strip the gun down every last part and soak in thinners for a night and then clean it all thoroughly, it will take a couple of hrs but should...

Help with Fuji Mini Mite 3 with XPC gun

Yes sorry I confused the gasket on the suction gun with the black rubber seal on the gravity gun. So when you look at the inside of the lid on your gun, there should be a white gasket, try to remove it and clean thoroughly, if it is stuck hard then try running a knife blade around the edge...

Help with Fuji Mini Mite 3 with XPC gun

I can only echo what has already been said, I have owned this gun, and have seen both issues, but they were caused by what has already been suggested, I find that the cup gasket needs replacing fairly frequently or the leak reappears, have you fitted a brand new gasket or cleaned the one that is...

Carry on using Zinnser bin or change to use paintable edging

I use the Morrells sealer, its great, I would say that when using a decent MR MDF sanding the edge down pretty well then the 2K primer is just fine without the sealer, but when you get a fluffy bit that you can't seem to sand back properly it needs sealing, my issue is that but he time you've...

    Blue Badge

I don't know if I'm glad to read this thread or not, the parking issue in general is one of my big bugbears, either people parking in disabled spaces, or people that just 'invent' parking spaces that are close to where they want to be, but yesterday I think I saw something that took the top...

Router Hitachi M12VE vs Makita 3612

I have owned both, and would echo the recommendation of both posts above, that M12v (which is what I owned, the older model) must be IMO one of the most underrated routers around.

    Hall Table in American Cherry

What a lovely piece of furniture Richard, I really enjoyed the write-up too, I'm a huge fan of the more minimal style of furniture like this. Many thanks fir sharing this with us.

    Lettering template/Jig

Evening all, I've been asked to do a couple of door names and I am looking for a reasonably priced lettering jig/stencil set and looking for recommendations, I would say I'm looking to spend up to £100 unless someone can give me a very good reason to spend more? Size would be not too large...

Asking neighbour to put works schedule in writing?

Quite right, I remember the thread about the car, the neighbour sounds pretty lax, just ensure they are paying for the scaffold by the week and they will soon hurry up and get it done. Besides, why put up a scaffold until he really needs it? I would tell them you want a date in writing of...

Advice on material used for box gutter

I've never known problems with box gutters when done properly, I've always known them in Lead or Fibreglass, I guess there are alternatives depending on the situation, but perhaps you've been unlucky? Sorry I can't be of more help but without actually seeing it it's very difficult to offer a...

Advice on material used for box gutter

I would also go for the fibreglass, you can buy the products yourself and it is a pretty simple 2 coat procedure, I think 170mm is fine, unless you choose to shunt the gable end wall over 8 inches to make cleaning the gutter easier

HELP metal radiator grille c*$k up!

Many thanks for the help and replies, I called a metal fabricator I know earlier to ask his opinion, (can't believe I didn't think of him first) and he said just drop them in, they have a machine that will do it, so that's that sorted for the cost of a small drink, so all's well. :D

HELP metal radiator grille c*$k up!

Hmm thanks Coley, that sounds promising, I have got pics of the old ones so I can compare, as has been said previsouly, I've not got anything to lose, so I'll give it a go. Thanks again

HELP metal radiator grille c*$k up!

I actually tried that in the corner with some 320, but to be honest it didn't look great, oh well failing that I guess I could always try selling the grilles lol (hammer) Thanks very much for the suggestions guys, please keep them coming, I'm not back in the workshop till the end of the week...

HELP metal radiator grille c*$k up!

Yes I was thinking something along those lines, unfortunately I have no wastage/off-cuts to test it on, as I ordered it cut to size.

HELP metal radiator grille c*$k up!

I've made 3 radiator covers for a client, they were to match 2 I previously made, the grilles were brushed steel, I ordered the new grilles but in my haste it seems I order the wrong ones, I have ordered polished rather than brushed, they are cut to size and therefore non refundable. I just...

    Underpricing yourself

That is correct, I'm afraid that's an old myth Bob, I believe the legal term for a price tag is something along the lines of 'an invitation to treat' and if the customer gets to the cash desks and the sales person realises a pricing error has been made, they are quite within their rights to...

Rules for non UK citizens buying houses in the UK?

Agreed, my comment about bankers and 100k salaries was rather tongue in cheek, I was merely trying to make the point that I thought it would be unaffordable for the 'working classes' and therefore would completely defeat the purpose it is being sold as. Jacob, I'd like to ask you a question, as...
