    Any stone engravers/carvers here ?

Been doing some marble house numbers, plaques, and its going swimmingly (laser engraving). Granite, however, is a bit tricky...in a sense that i cannot get it bright enough. Marble engraves very white and stays white in the wet (rain), granite engraving is much duller and just plain disappears...

    Parkside compressor - a lemon?

I need to find a compressor thats about 50L and quiet as that will be constantly on for laser cutter air assist. Depending on pressure i use it will be kicking on once in a while (for multi-hour glass engrave jobs) and having oil-free brushed monstrosity is a definite no-no. At the moment using...

    Youtube !

Haven't seen adverts for years on YT, thanks to APB and now uBlock, my main issue is smart tv's not able to use such blocking facilities. There's PiHole for blocking ads before it even hits browsers of any kind on the entirety of your home network - PiHole. I really need to look into it as my...

    Strange Food Habits

Pickled beetroot is disgusting, boiled/sweet is delightful. Anything with vinegar is a definite no from me, the smell alone turns my stomach (salt and vinegar crisps, bleagh). Only exception is well done chicken/pork aspic cant be eaten without vinegar. Go figure. I do love pickles though. And...

    Bluetooth speaker

I just bought a usb POWERED bluetooth to 3.5mm jack adapter (~£5) and hooked it up to an old SONY amplifier with JBL speakers in the shed. Power sorted by using standard phone charger that has a usb plug on it, connection by RCA to 3.5mm jack cable. All up cost about £8 (sans amplifier and...
