    Ways to chemically dissolve waterstones to a pulp?

    As I have mentioned earlier, I ground up an worn out jap waterstone to make what has turned out to be an excellent stropping compound (on leather).     Lignum Vitea/hornbeam??

    Does any one know a source of supply for Lignum Vitea or Horn beam timber? I am looking for small planks 2 to 3 inches wide, 1/2 inch thick, 9 inch long minimum. I have never used these timbers before, what are they like for working with, glueing up etc? cheers Jonathan :)
