    doe anybody have any experiance with the footprint red handled chisels . i got a 5 pice set from the boot sale for £5.00 and wow i have sharpnd them and today was dovetailing in some pitch pine and they just cut and cut and cut . they seem to be very well made and as good as my marples shamrock...

    chisel handel type

    do you have a prefered style of handle on your chisels or you happy with what they come with . i find the old marples splitproof very very good fit in my hand the trditional marples type boxwood handle is not as comfoteble for me . with artritis in my hands.

    hi i have got today a 5 peice set of stanley 501 all in 1st class condition . please tell me the honest truth are they as good as people say or is it just hyped up blurb they seem to have had no use at all so was it a good deal at £15.00 or was i ripped off .

    brass sash cramp

    hi last week i bought a 3ft sash cramp it was a bit rusty so i started to clean it then i noticed it was very shiny after alot more cleaning it turns out that the heads of the cramp and the stop are made of brass and very well made to has anyone ever come across this type before.

    today after a little playing i fond that a 7tpi crosscut saw filed rip was the dogs for ripping some oak and some mahogony very easy to keep to my scribe line and no bounce in the cut . and when i planed the edges WHITH MY MARPLES PLANE there was alot less work than when i use my disston rip saw...
