    Dustcollection

I made my Hegner similar to yours. It is in my garage (in a freezing cold!) with the vacuum cleaner in the next room.

Martin is no longer able to use his Hegner

Thanks for all your messages of support. (My wife helped me with this message)

Martin is no longer able to use his Hegner

I have had a stroke last September and it has affected my speech and right hand, so I have decided to sell my Hegner. I am putting it on here first to see if anyone is interested, if not I will put it on the tools page. I am asking £275.00 for it. I will take a photo of it. Martin.

Scroll saw with easy and fast blade change, on budget

Although most people wouldn't want to do it with a new saw, the rollers on the tension lever can be replaced with small bearings and it makes a big difference. Having said that, I would think the lever is stiff simply because the groove where the rollers rest probably has a sharp edge and it'll...

Scroll saw with easy and fast blade change, on budget

If it's the same as the Hegner, Brian, and it looks to be, there's no reason you can't fit a foot pedal. Either fit the pedal between the NVR and the motor, or remove the NVR and just fit a foot pedal. The foot pedal pretty much works as an NVR anyway - unless you inadvertently stand on the...

    Cheap Hegner (not mine)

I get the RSS feed from there and bought lots of bits over the last 3 or 4 years, and given some stuff away. I'm too stupid to sell it. :D

    Cheap Hegner (not mine)

The saw is back on sale with a new bellows, but the price went up from 87 to 88 quid. If it wasn't so far away and collection only, I'd have that for a spare.

    Cheap Hegner (not mine)

Just noticed this has been taken off while the owner renews the bellows.

    Cheap Hegner (not mine)

On homeworkshop. It's a Multicut 2 (not 2S) and the price is right, if someone hasn't already snapped it up. It's nothing to do with me, I noticed it in my RSS feed this morning.

    Scrolling circles.

I recently cut two 250mm circles from 18mm external ply as part of making Dobsonian mount for a telescope. I considered cutting them on the scroll saw, but I ended up using my decrepit old Burgess bandsaw with a 1/4" blade. Then I made a jig for the belt/disc sander to finish them off. Of...

    Chippygeoff

Very sad to read this, having missed Phil's post due to being away from scrolling, and the forum, for most of this year. I met Geoff a couple of times and swapped emails many times. Great chap, and a great loss. I have a beautiful plaque that he made for Fran and myself after I repaired one of...

    I was bored...

I wanted the Stevenson's Rocket at £45, so it was pretty easy to opt for the beam engine. I think I paid £24 so maybe I've had it longer than I thought. I'm looking forward to that. For some obscure reason, I was fascinated with those pumps after seeing a photo of a Texas oilfield in an old...

    I was bored...

Brilliant, Naz. I made the original kit 2 or 3 years back, but I prefer yours. I like it's chunkier look. That could even get me interested in the scroll saw again. I just checked to see if mine still runs, it's got a little battery powered motor, and all the Chinesium rubber bands have perished

    Lidl vac back in store

I've had mine 3 or 4 years and it's been flawless, though unfortunately not as quiet as the Henry. It's 1500w, has a socket so you can plug the scroll saw into it so that vac comes on at the same time. Can also be used as a blower, though I'm not sure what use that is; why would you want to blow...

Great little project for those with limited tools and space

All-in-one Dremel drill, router and sander. Looks like it can be made with scroll saw and Dremel. Ideal for anyone with few tools and not much room, but a great little project in its own right. https://youtu.be/Zh95WSOrilk

    Hegner or ?

It was advertised as variable speed, but i queried that as it's obvious from the photo that it's two speed. The seller did add an amendment.

    Hegner or ?

I just missed a two speed Delta on fleabay. I capped my bid at 40 quid as I wanted it to play with. If it was someone in here that won it, I apologise for upping the price.

    Simple Tractor Wheels

Nice idea. I might copy those and make some for my Steve Good tractor.

    Pachyderms

I'm hoping to see him this coming week. The ply is used, as you would expect for that price, so the quality varies. I'll see if there's any good stuff left and let you know.
