Some quick help on bypassing an NVR please

Hi all Finally set aside some time to put in a ceiling pull cord on the dust extractor, rather than the conveniently sited NVR switch (12" off the ground and at the rear !) There's wires everywhere ! - I'm lost  But, on the back of the NVR terminal block there's a wiring diagram IN:1...

Cyclones - a couple of questions:

Finally got round to assembling the cyclone I got from Cyclone Central months ago and it's got me to wonder about a couple of points ..... The power for the cyclone is a wall mounted Fercell extractor with 6" inlets and outlets. I've quickly tested the cyclone and it seems to work well - now...

    Sketchup 8 Pro - worth it ?

Hi all I'm vaguely considering upgrading to the Pro version, but at £275 minimum - am I going to get any value from it as opposed to the free version ? Uses: Purely for producing furniture designs for workshop use and emailing out to customers. Chris.

    Latest Pen:

Been meaning to do some Acrylics for a while........now I'm totally obsessed, whether they'll sell and especially the more expensive kits, is yet to be seen. This one's a Gentlemans - full size - a bit too long for the display box and with very large barrels. Chris.

Just a quick enquiry to those that might know.....I have 4 x 3 ph machines all running off separate breakers in the main box, one's on a plug, the others are hard-wired to switch boxes. I'm just about to buy a Stromab 650 in 3ph guise and wondered - I work entirely on my own, can't use two of...

    Woodturninz.com - nobbled by Customs !

Hi all, Bought some pens from Woodturningz in the States - they have a good range and are quite cheap and delivery is fast. Had 4 or 5 orders before - no problems. This time however, very slow and I started to have a bad feeling, sure enough today I got a letter from Parcelforce - they're...

    Jet 16-32 Drum sander owners:

Hi - Would any of you be so kind, next time you're in your workshop to measure the outside dimensions of it's leg stand, ie: corner to corner footprint of the stand on the floor. I've just ordered one and being too tight to shell out £13 a corner on Jet castors, thought I'd make my own, ready...

    Laminated Pen Blanks:

Hi all and Merry Christmas ! I'm thinking of laminating some Pen blanks in contrasting colours - Sycamore and Elm, that sort of thing, but can't get my head round how the sort of 'linear' effect in the blank transposes to that in the finished article - does anybody know what I mean.....or...

    Sip 10" Table Saw Questions

I know there's a few on here who have one, so a couple of q's before mine's delivered..... a) What's on the end of the power cable - I gather it's a 16a start up - bet it's not a conventional blue plug. b) Does anyone use the supplied guard extraction ? as far as I can see, that exhausts...

    Simple Electrics Question:

I've searched and found two references and generally favourable reviews for their 27mm Oak on here, but before I consider bunging a couple of grand their way - anyone else had any dealings with them, I'm very wary of waney edge too and the wildlife that it can import. Chris.

    3 ph machine 'cutting out'

After all my success at wiring up my brand new secondhand Viceroy pillar drill I find it stops when it feels like it. I say 'stops' rather than 'cuts out' because it does it when not under load and at different intervals - sometimes I'll get about 45secs out of it, sometimes about 8 or 9...
