Where to get plans for general woodwork projects?

If you're good at spreadsheets, you can use one to convert everything and even write a ratio formula so if you increase the length/width etc everything else increases accordingly.

OK who has one on order

Another one of these concept type bikes designed by a designer without an engineers input. Was really excited when I heard Lotus were making bikes but this is a massive disappointment.

how big is your king dick

Got one I can nearly put my head through in the local 2nd hand tool place. Was going to buy it to put on the wall but it was £150

    Syphoning Diesel

Around my way when they steal fuel they don't syphon. They just cut the fuel line underneath and put a can under. Makes it super annoying when you go to start the car and see there is no fuel then walk 3 miles to the garage and pour it in to see it come out underneath.

rutlands router table on offer again £99.95

Their offers seem to go round in some kind of order. If my memory serves me correctly then hopefully it should be the router bit set next which I missed last time.

    speed camera

The other one is that they just remove their braking or reverse lights then emergency stopping or even reversing into you. Often they will say don't worry it at the scene but will then say you left the scene without giving your details and the police turn up on your doorstep. There are a few...

    Potassium permanganate

That is what mine were like. I showered twice a day and washed my feet another 2 or 3 times a day and tried every cream/powder without success. I found that using Mycol cream and powder together keeps it down to a minimum but I can't shift it completely. Luckily they don't smell. I've always...

    speed camera

Driving too fast for the conditions, not being aware of what is going on around you and impeding the flow of traffic all contribute to accidents and are all things you would fail your driving test for. I currently choose not to drive as my medication makes everything feel too fast and unsafe...

    speed camera

On the way to Maplins today we were behind a queue of traffic. The person at the front of the queue was doing 40mph all the way though 30mph zones and 60mph zones. Upon seeing the speed camera in a 60 zone while doing 40mph they panicked and slammed on their brakes to avoid flashing the camera...

    Taking on an apprentice

I was thinking the same thing. I'd offer to work for free to learn the trade and do something I love if I didn't have a family to try and support. I've never taken a sick day unless the boss has actually forced me and I always work my buttocks off as I can't stand not being busy or wasting time but...

Joint options on just a bandsaw?

You can do finger joints and dovetails on a bandsaw. Probably loads more too.

    Woodscrews into melamine faced chipboard?

Decent woodscrews hold fine in chipboard. I knocked up a temporary vivarium when I moved house for 2 15ft reticulated pythons. It's literally just 8ft lengths top and bottom with 4ft sides, ply backing and 6mm safety glass front held with just screws. It's still temporary after two years and if...

Things that give you an irrational amount of rage

People that drive at 20 miles an hour and hold up the traffic. I have no problem with people driving slow but if you aren't in a hurry pull over every now and then and let people pass.

    Nearly got scammed

It sounds dodgy but ebay is always worth a look for cars. I just restrict my search to within 50 miles for most stuff but for cars I ignore Cornwall as cars are more expensive here. I just go and look at it before bidding so it's the same as buying elsewhere without the haggling.

What could u make a workbench out of for little £?

My bench is just made from pine 2x4. I just made 2 strong frames front and back of double thickness then screwed and glued 2x4 across the top and bottom making sure the top is perfectly flat then topped it off with MDF with a bit of planking around that can be replaced when needed for very...

Using celebs to advertise your product. is it just me?

I was always disgusted by Carol Vorderman (someone thought to be good with numbers) advertising 125% mortgages for First Plus. She made money but thousands of people lost their homes and were forced into bankruptcy because they were stupid enough to believe that it must be OK if she says so.

You can buy 8x4 sheets of polystyrene cheap on ebay.

    Strange old plane

Looks like a nice solid piece of kit. I need to get to more boot sales. If I'm lucky I get to pop over the one at Pool Market every now and then.

Sharpening Media - Oil, Water, Diamond or Abrasive Paper?

Coming from the meat trade where knives need to be more than razor sharp and stay that way with just a quick refresh on a steel I've always used oilstones with a bit of washing up liquid for lubricant. I've tried other methods but I stick to what works for me which is what everyone should do.
