    Bosch GAS shop vac

You're not doing anything wrong, it's just the design of the unit, being small the filter is right in the middle of the bucket. Some other vacs, like festools have the filter up top so you can use the full capacity of the bag. You don't need to use a bag but if you don't the filter will clog up...

    Mitre saw

I tried a bunch of mitre saws recently: Makita LS1016L Metabo KGS254plus Dewalt DWPXPS Festool Kapex 120 In the end i bought the Kapex, given the choice from the other 3 it would probably be the Dewalt as it's extremely accurate and solid, all bevels and mitres lock in solidly without zero...

Anyone actually got one of these then? Just got one and annoyingly there's about a couple degrees of play in the 90 degree bevel lock, meaning you never know if the saw is locked back in at 90 degree's. Be interested to know if it's a fault on mine, or common.

Best 10" SCMS, Bosch, DeWalt, Makita

I'm looking for a 10" SCMS, around £500/600... Consider 3 options Dewalt DW717XPS Bosch GCM10SD Makita LS1016 The Bosch was my first choice but it's the biggest and heaviest of the 3, not sure I'm keen on the front controls due to fear of them getting knocked and there's no laser. Reviews...
