    this is highly unusual , rats wont hang around for long if their is no food source so my question is what foodsource is available to them ?? if a foodsource is nearby then you will be seeing runs created by a constant back and forth movement , these things eat a lot the suggestion of the jack...

    id like to meet the guy who set the door frames out in the first place its a lot to take off , so beware hollow doors ar'nt as generous as they used to be. trim with a circular saw and finish with a hand plane get ready with the glue :shock: if doors are hollow

    you could try stress relieving it with a simple saw cut use a thin curf blade and cut approx half the material away avoid the end of the board if it will be seen just a thought hth mel

    shultzy go for the stainless steel 4" fire door hinges 1 and a half pairs will suffice three hinges will take a 250 kgs door that is in constant use have you lent any thought to how you will stop cold winter draught blowing through the bi-fold door ?? mel
