    bellows problem

Can anyone help me here. I would like to buy some new bellows for my Parkside PDS 120 A1 scroll saw but can't source them anywhere. I believe this machine is the same as most other 16" saws especially the Sheppach and Einheil brands. Does anyone have a source for the bellows or will I need to...

help needed with wooden jigsaw pieces

Hi All, I have been looking at cutting some 1/4" ply with a picture glued to it, about A4 size. I would like to make this an interlocking jigsaw that are usually made from cardboard. Does anyone know where I can get the design pattern that I can use to cut out the shaped pieces ?? take care and...

I have a problem with a Poolewood lathe VSD

Have managed a couple of pics and would like to know if anyone can help with this. Can I say we don't know what we are doing as it looks as if we need to plug the lathe into the 13 amp wall socket and then run the lathe from the controller. Is this correct ?? How/where can I get an Operators...

I have a problem with a Poolewood lathe VSD

Thanks for the reply. I have no pics as yet as I just had a look on Friday past. Unfortunately no one at the shed has any idea of how this setup works and are completely in the dark. It is a Poolewood Euro 1500 and that is as much information as I have, I will go down this week and try and find...

I have a problem with a Poolewood lathe VSD

Hi, We were given a Poolewood lathe at our local Men's Shed and the donor said it was working ok. We have tried everything to get it running but, so far, no go. Is there a site where we could find some information on how to get this machine to run. It was donated by the son of the chap who owned...

    hot glue gun

I have used a hot glue gun to attach wood to a wooden faceplate. Just running glue around the outside diameter was enough to allow he turning of a foot to hold in the machine chuck. It was just a matter of sticking the piece in the microwave on full power for 30 seconds or so and the two pieces...

    variable speed

Thanks for the well formed replies. I can see you have taken time to form an opinion and that is what I asked for. @scrimper, the NUTOOL will do for some larger pieces in intarsia if needed but will be quite valuable for segmentation etc. on heavier pieces of wood. Thank you you for the Hegner...

    Two boxes

I like them both but the second one looks a bit more complicated. Is it a bandsawn box ?. Lovely work.

    variable speed

Back again with what I have found. Firstly there are no signs of brushes around the NUTOOLS machine so I suspect it must be an induction motor. The manual I found for the lookalike Grizzly machine shows brush holders at the end of the motor, so the two machines are NOT the same. I would dearly...

    variable speed

Thanks scrimper, if it has brushes then there is a possibilty to put something together ?? EDIT I had a look and there are no brush holders visible around the motor casing so it looks as if it is indeed an induction motor. I got some info. from the plate, Model No. MASS006BMA, Motor 1/8, 1 Ph...

    variable speed

Thanks for that extremely quick reply. I would like to use the 22" capability to make bigger pieces. Would it be ok to sacrifice the motor and speed control from a 16" machine ?? say an Aldi or Lidl machine ? I just received the NUTOOL machine this afternoon and it is soaking in WD40, I should...

    variable speed

I would like to fit a variable speed control to a NUTOOLS 22" scroll saw. Is this possible ?? and what should I be looking out for. Don W
