    They usually just sit on the worktop if fitted over a base cabinet with a couple of fixings to stop them toppling over . If no base cabinet under the worktop then they are secured to the wall like any other wall unit but they do rest lightly on the worktop

    The bottom part is the stand and the clasps hold the two parts together so the machine is at a comfortable height for working.

    Yes you need to remove the fence on the fence you will see two rods that go down into the rings on the fixing bracket as per the attached photo with the arrow Grab the fence either side as close to the pins as possible and pull straight up. if you wiggle the fence it will jam lol .
