Sold Couple of tenon saws. Lie Nielsen & Veritas

The final listing for the time being is a couple of saws: Lie Nielsen 12" rip Veritas 16" cross cut. The Veritas is immaculate, but there is some minor tarnishing on the plate of the Lie Nielsen. Obviously nothing that effects the cut, just won't look so nice in the velvet lined display...

    Sold FESTOOL OF 1400 EBQ-PLUS ROUTER (1/2")

About 2 years old, but it's like new. Has literally done two or three rounding over cuts. Would make ideal Christmas for the missus. I can post to the UK - at cost to buyer. Pickup from North Wales LL16 is a bargain at £0.00 I'd like £300 (or luncheon vouchers, given my current circumstances...

For Sale Festool MFT 3 and VacSys

Bought a couple of years ago for a biggish cabinet job that never came to pass, due to some global pandemic that was kicking about. MFT3 along with the complete Vacsys and the extra suction pads that make little bits stick to it as well as big bits. The table has seen maybe a couple of dozen...

    Shaper Origin in practice

I'm not in the market as I can't think of a job I've ever done that would have benefitted from it, but I'd love to see what people are using them for. 3 grand seems a bit expensive for a toy, but I'd love to hear peoples thoughts on them. Ta, Ed.

    Installation drill / driver

Hey all, Got a couple of kitchen jobs (and other bits and bobs) coming up in the New Year, and was thinking of getting a light weight drill driver. All my battery gear at the moment is 18V Milwaukee which is a bit bulky for fitting Euro-hinges and other hardware. Was looking at the Milwaukee...

    Workshop extension

Currently looking to build a 10 by 8m extension to my existing shop. The timber frame is made and the concrete down. Having thoughts about layout now so I can plan the leccy supply. Anyone any thoughts on this:

    A general DRO question

After a day of fiddling with my tennoner trying to get the joinery perfect I reckon it's about time it was treated to a set of digital readouts. It's a 5 head Dominion BXA which is slightly smaller than a Wadkin EKA but with a similar travel configuration. Top head traverses side to side and up...

    Festool TKS 80

Anyone? I have been away from the forums for a bit, but was considering one as a site saw and was expecting you lot to be all over it with good/bad/indifferent (tick as appropriate), but there's virtually nothing. Not much more on FOG either! I'd have thought the Festool Sawstop thing would have...

    Felder website

Anyone managed to login to it recently? I keep getting an SSO error. I've tried re-setting passwords and stuff, but nothing seems to work...please don't tell me I'm going to ring them as all they tell me then is it's cheaper if you order of the website!

    Lie Neilsen 97 1/2

So; over the course of the last year I've been working for a guy, on and off, who is doing a grade one listed cock-up/refurb. I've made a few windows, some beading and other bits and pieces (matching skirting and that). Christmas Eve he turns up with a parcel rapped in brown paper and wishes me...

Record No 5 lever cap broke

As the title suggests the lever cap on my record No 5 broke in half today while refitting to the plane after honing. What are my options for replacing? I assume a new Stanley would work, but the pictures on the internet look like the castings(I'm assuming cast steel) are bobbins. Do Clifton...

How to make a skirting profile

I have to replace some skirting in a friends gaff. It's only a couple of yards that were terminated by a fitted unit during the original build. The profile is one I haven't come across before: I don't want to have knives ground for the spindle as they'd never get used again, and I don't have...

    Wardrobe hinges

I have to make some replacement robe doors (9 in total) for some really well made fitted units. The customer (who also happens to be my accountant, so I'm trying to make an impression...y' know, no cash here and all that ) wants decent hinges and push to open thingummy bobs. Does anyone know...

    Chippie's Tools

So... just before Christmas my Cousin's better half mentioned to me that they had some tools, belonging to his recently deceased Dad, that they needed to get shut of. With me being 'in trade' they may have thought that the usual collection of manky adjustable spanners and junior hacksaws would...

FTAGH Dewalt DW733 Blades - NOW GONE TO GOOD HOME!

I'm having a new year clear out, and found these at the back of a drawer. They'll probably need sharpening, but they're yours if you'll drop a quid into the next bucket rattler you see. I'll cover postage. PM me if you're interested

    Sorby Pro-Edge

Just had Sorby Pro-Edge Found a chisel in a garden: Ground the back: Reground the edge and gave it rub on the stone: About a minute and a half. All in all, pretty good.

Possibly the worst promotional video I've ever seen

I've been keeping an eye out for Felder saw spindle combis for ages, and a recent bout of insomnia (and the usual YT search slip) brought me to this little gem... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQiNGFeQ2yg Pure genius.
