    Doing medieval reenactment many years ago and buying my first bow, I be made a few ash and yew bows. Couldn’t get long pieces of yew so I spliced shorter lengths of yew in the handle to make some bows, this is a couple I made during lockdown

    New Workshop

    I retrofitted an internal stud wall, osb with Breather membrane and old lift insulation between boards. The building was 9” hollows. I’ve bought tools off people who had uninsulated sheds and everything was a bit rusty.

    Thanks for all your replies, I put this out on display each remembrance week at a local memorial hall where a local art group each year produce a new piece of art to remember the fallen of the two world wars, (names remembered via memorial plaques)

    Living in the country now there’s not much chance of dumpster diving, the council tips won’t let take anything. The amount of wood and bricks I’ve taken out of skips has saved hundreds. Best find ever was attached desk, will get it finished one day
