i have a problem. my workshed is relativley damp, although being insulated & double glazed. its not possible to use a dehumidifier or heater all the time as i don't spend enough time in there (another problem). i'm considering making a largish box 8x2x2? and using it as a slow drying wood store...

can anyone help? im trying to find a decent fine timber supplier near colcheste and lichfield (staffordshire) it would be helpful if they are open on saturdays.

Does anybody know if oak is as prone to end checking as ash? the reason being is that i've made a prototype end table in ash for my folks conservatory. its' has spl'it. Doh. (homer)
