Terms and Conditions for buying car tyres

I agree with this approach. Car manufacturers don't want their products flying off the road and therefore we can presume they tell us which tyre keeps our car (and all its integrated systems) functioning optimally. Whether or not a plug is a good idea depends entirely on how you use the car...

Mystery pipe - what to do?

Thank you to everyone who has suggested anything... but we have a winner. Mark B's first reply asking if it was a piece of scaffold. I was unlucky to find the foot long section of concrete around the pipe... a few inches in one direction I would have exposed one end of the pipe... a few feet...

Mystery pipe - what to do?

Apologies not needed at all. I am thoroughly enjoying the stories coming in.

Mystery pipe - what to do?

Mystery pipe - what to do?

Thanks for the replies. Is there something I am supposed to do in this situation, beyond notify the council? I would hate to remove it, build on top and then find out I should never have touched it and my neighbours are now without dial-up internet or whatever was in that pipe previously.

Mystery pipe - what to do?

    That's my gut feeling too.

Mystery pipe - what to do?

Thanks Mark. That feels unlikely. The concrete around the pipe looks deliberate eg: the quality and finish is much better than the mess around it.

Mystery pipe - what to do?

Shame this has to be my first post... So I am in the process of clearing an area in the back garden that will be the site of my future man cave. The area is littered with building rubble left by previous, previous owners - think bricks, broken slab, concrete blobs of bricks and rubble. The area...
