    Collet chuck for spindle moulder

If your spindle moulder has a 30mm shaft with M16 female thread at top then you need this;) I used it in a LUNA spindle and a dovetailing set up. A 3/8" collet for a 30mm spindle with M16 thread. £25 posted (in UK)

A look back in time for pattern making

This week a job I made well over 25 years ago came back, can you store this for me for a few weeks? Well this is a plug of a large clock face, 1.3m accross, there was a wind direction face that you could swap over for the clock originally but that seems to have been lost. It is my first and...

    New to me Union Graduate

In a weak moment I have just bought a union graduate lathe, I believe it is a short bed as it seems go me quite short! Any way I will need a few face plates both left and right hand if anyone has any not being used or knows where I might find same. Goes without saying beer tokens in exchange.

    Elm Table re-modelled

I wonder if anyone here knows of the maker of this table that I have been asked to alter, it seems to have had the top cut down in the past anyway. My customer has inherited the table so wants to keep it but it is just to big and doesn't really like the wavy edges to much.. So before and after...

    Treated verses CLS C16

I'm currently doing some work in a new build house where they have/are using tanalized or at least the modern equal timber for all the internal stud walls and roof timbers, this seems to me to be rather strange choice rather than using CLS C16. Any one have an opinion on timber choice in house...

    Baltic Birch Myth or mystery?

I often see posts referring to Baltic Birch ply this is a term that I've not come across outside social media. Can someone enlighten me what is meant by Baltic Birch ply? As far as I know all Birch ply that I buy is either Russian or from Finland. Is it a confusion of the grading system as...

This may seem a very strange request but has anyone here tried to contact the taxman? As far as I can see it is now just about impossible. Yes fine if you have a standard question just click the button and get a standard answer, but what happens when they make a mistake and you can't let them...

    Anyone here from Glasgow?

I know it's a bit of a long shot but is there any one in Glasgow up for a challenge? I have been asked to re-assemble and fit a large cabinet that I made 20+ years ago and it's a bit of long way for me to travel.

Do you know what going on inside?

During the packing up of my workshop ready for moving I took the opportunity to check the inside of my office/work PC, now I thought it would be a bit dusty but this is what I found, I think I'll have to check it out a bit more often. But with a good suck out with the shop vac and seems to be...

    So what's the odds?

As a few here may know I have been moving workshops, well for the last few weeks my electrician and myself have wired up 20 three phase machines some quite new but a lot old with just three red wires so it's a 50/50 chance that the machine turns the correct way first time, now so far there is...
