    sorry I bothered

I haven't been on this forum for quite some but found myself with half an hour to spare so thought I'd have a quick catch up. All was pretty much as ever until I came accross the pallet table thread. I was quite taken aback by the level of ridicule that piece attracted. I don't care if it was...

    STARTRITE 275 TABLE SAW

I would say either your saw is designed to take a 10" blade and not a 12" or that blade is bigger than 12". If, on start up, the machine is tripping everything its not going to help changing the trip on the lighting circuit, it must be tripping the main rcd. Don't know much about your model of...

    Flooring chipboard

Building control, nhbc and zurich all require end joints on chipboard flooring to be supported when joists are at 600 centres. That is for 18 and 22mm boards. This does not mean the boards have to land on a joist, H frames are acceptable. At 400 centres 22mm boards do not require supporting.

    Roofing Question

Thats right, but that is for wooden shingles, cedar or whatever. These shingles being talked about here are just cut and shaped pieces of mineral felt. Also, Steve, shingles of the timber variety are not fixed to laths, they are nailed to a ply or osb skin.

    When I go...

I was in Shandong province 'working' in '96 and '97 and you couldn't go anywhere without being accosted by prostitutes. The hotel staff would even let them into your room while you were out so they could be waiting for you when you got back. Maybe not so bad if they were young, pretty girls...
