UPDATE: Ok having received a replacement motor, I see the issue. The connector in question isn't meant to be disconnected. On the other end, there's a standard connector that removes much easier. It never occurred to me to check and disconnect the other end of the wire! Lesson learned.

Thanks for the input all. I've included some pictures of the connection port and the connector in place. It sits in at a 90 degree angle, which makes it a bit delicate to remove without bending it. Record say they'll supply a replacement length of wire with a connector, so hopefully will be all...

I think that's probably what I'll do. Record Power are pretty good with spares and technical advice, so I'll ask them when I get the motor fixed.

Yep it cuts down the curing time drastically. This UF glue I'm using usually takes 6 hours + to cure. Rasing the temperature to 50/60 degrees can cut that down to 2 hours, so well worth doing! Might try the tube heater like you say then.
