Near catastrophe with control panel failure on Hyundai Kona Car!

I had something similar happen to me 5yrs ago in a Ford C-Max, the alternator failed, no dash warning light, some time later, maybe a day or more once the battery was depleted the dash lit up like yours, no power steering or electric park brake etc. Luckily I was in a 30mph zone and managed to...

He's some sort of big time trials rider and charges multiple times that an hour training riders so I think I will be lucky to get him free for an hour to lift the kit up there ;)

Refelt or other cover my 8 x 16 shed roof?

Thanks everyone for the advice, still waiting on local quotes to re-felt though EPDM is looking most likely now as once the roof is cleared of all the old felt and nails, if I get someone to lift the roll up and centralise it, I can roll it to the middle, apply the glue, roll and brush out the...

Refelt or other cover my 8 x 16 shed roof?

As to lifting stuff up there my daughter has a 6ft strapping boyfriend who would assist if asked to get stuff up on the roof so that shouldn't be a problem. The rest I can manage still. I feel 40 in my mind, just the body cant keep up these days ;)

Refelt or other cover my 8 x 16 shed roof?

No, I hadn't thought of corrugated iron, green coloured metal sheet had crossed my mind though but the cost with fixings and delivery put me off and that was last year when I looked so even pricier now.

Refelt or other cover my 8 x 16 shed roof?

I am considering epdm but I would like to not have to purchase all the plastic profiles, can the edges be done as per felt with roofing battens to fix the rubber against the sides? Its a shed not a garden office so doesnt have to be pretty.

Refelt or other cover my 8 x 16 shed roof?

In 2009 my first ever thread in this forum was my from scratch 8 x 16ft pent roof shed which cost me £750 in materials total waterproof. Now 15yrs later my felt has gained a few minor leaks and its time for a re-roof either in felt again or epdm? I know a local roofer who does lots of felt work...

Simple electronics circuit to keep power bank alive?

I bought a couple of USB male & female flying cable ends with split covers from ebay cheap cheap. I had some suitable 1 core and sleeved screen cable and some resistors so I made up a flexible lead with 200 ohms across as a load. That works fine with my current 5000mAh power banks as a keep...

Simple electronics circuit to keep power bank alive?

Have you seen what fox cubs do to any wire at there level  I used to have multiple Sat dishes up to 2mtr in my large garden. All the cables were run in 4 inch pipe but where they rise out to remote control the dish's I had to chicken wire them or the fox cubs ate them! I have a few gel...

Simple electronics circuit to keep power bank alive?

Hopefully this may be of interest, Fox's love raw eggs, this time of the year they take them back to the den for the kits or the nursing Vixen. They are so careful not to damage the shell.

Simple electronics circuit to keep power bank alive?

I have the result of the 5000mAh power bank with 200 ohms connected across the USB output. Last night was a success, 57 separate 1minute recordings, so at least 260-290mA load each time plus the constant 24mA keep alive used a very unscientific less than 1/4 of the bank looking at the remaining...

Simple electronics circuit to keep power bank alive?

I could but its making it as simple as possible and I cant be sure the sun will always keep it ready for the next night. I need to swop the memory cards over quite often. Every day if I cant wait to see what's been captured so its no bother to swop out the battery pack if its just plug n play.

Simple electronics circuit to keep power bank alive?

I just tried to upload some camera video of our resident hedgehog crawling into the fox's bowl of dog food, having a wonderful time, the fox turned up and was most put out that his snout got pricked while trying to share the food. There is a whole host of goings on at night here with at least 2...

Simple electronics circuit to keep power bank alive?

Yes good point, thanks. I will rig up a trial tonight with 25mA and see how that goes, then try for less until it fails to stay awake.

Simple electronics circuit to keep power bank alive?

Seems I need to find a schoolkid now then. Sitting here watching my power bank lights constantly glowing with 2 x 100ohm 1/4watt resistors in series drawing 24mA from the pack. I was making a meal out of it using an LED as well. So 5000mAh pack with no other load (camera) should go for a week at...

Simple electronics circuit to keep power bank alive?

Thanks for the swift reply, its stand alone power banks I will be using just cable tied to the back of the camera's. Like these or maybe 10000mAh ones https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08T1JCXR5 No trailing leads/wires/mains or wall warts will be used or harmed in the making of this project ;)

Simple electronics circuit to keep power bank alive?

I wonder if there are members here who may have already solved this question? I have several trail camera's set up in the garden to video wildlife, all are 6volt and all take 8 AA batteries, that's 2 banks of 4 batteries. Thats lots of batteries and even using rechargeables which report less...
