    Marples No2200 square restoration questions

At least everyone is in agreement that my square is trashed and should be replaced. I could frame it though as a momento to my most controversial post from what I thought was a reasonably mundane question 😀 Wishing you all a rain free weekend. And with that, I’ll get my coat.

table saws and plunge saw (with guide rails tracks) advice/recommendations...

That looks like a very nice saw. No noisy motor, no batteries or plugs :) I’ll wander over to the handbook section.

table saws and plunge saw (with guide rails tracks) advice/recommendations...

I have a Makita track saw that is great for 90% of things, particularly cutting sheets for cabinets etc, and I expect if I had a permanent setup could do 99%. But because I work outside and have to drag everything out when I want to use it, making some small cuts feels a pain. I was even...

    Marples No2200 square restoration questions

More because it’s inherited. I’m doing a WM625 as well.

    Marples No2200 square restoration questions

I’m still going through some inherited tools and would like some advice on a Marples try square. The handle and face plate look like they will clean/polish up fairly easily, but the blade is completely trashed. Before I start at it are there any pointers on the best way to go about? Also, for...

    Evolution R255TBL Table Saw

I don’t know, but I’m assuming it isn’t induction otherwise they’d market that feature quite prominently.

    Evolution R255TBL Table Saw

I assume the new Evolution jobsite bench saw is not out in the wild yet? It seems that a few YouTubers that have been given them for free have them. It looks fairly similar to the Dewalt 7485, certainly the fence mechanism, plus they seem to have fixed the mitre track size and the plus model...

Limited number, 50% Off, Newly Upgraded, 2024 Triton triple blade Planer TPL180, 180mm.

Never considered one of these upside down. It’s more powerful than Triton TSPL152, but is the downside that there isn’t a long enough feed for stability or is there more to it than just watts? I’m looking for a solution for squaring up 150 x 20mm boards and similar? I’m thinking of planing two...

    Sold WoodRat Router System

Just to close off on this one, we met somewhere close to half way between each other. The woodrat is in very good condition, as close to as new as could be without being shrink wrapped. Thank you @Puggers , lovely woodworking chat and fantastic purchase.

    Sock blocker

These are for when you knit socks, but anything knitted usually gets blocked to even out the rows and stretch a little to make more comfortable to wear. It my wife that knits, but the socks are amazing compared to shop bought.

Just for people who knit. Anything knitted gets blocked.

    Sock blocker

Moving on a little from learning to build cabinets to something not involving just a plunge saw. My wife has some wooden sock blockers that are too large. I wanted to check my thinking on how to trim them to the correct size. I have a correct sized sock blocker so will use that to draw around...

    Temporary outdoor MFT

Correct. @Chrispy made it. We chatted about the best options for what I wanted to achieve and then Chris made and shipped it in a couple of days. Really great working with Chris

    Temporary outdoor MFT

Oh, lots of cheaper options for sure. It was more the pop-up nature of the solution I was sharing not the frugality. The C700 are good for lots of other things too and fold up easily. You could also save much more money on the benchdogs fence or the makita track saw.
