    Track saw technique?

60t is very fine but a track saw should still do 22mm of maple with it I'd have thought... The deviation is very likely to be due to a poor blade. I'd go with a replacement Freud. For 22mm, 40t would likely be OK, but without knowing your particular saw, it's hard to be certain. I have...

    Bohemian Rhapsody cover

I just found this whilst browsing youtube, as you do. What I'd call a good effort, to say the least. Thought someone here might appreciate it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZySOgMzOY0Q&list=RDZySOgMzOY0Q

    Work Light Recomendations

You could go ultra posh and use Lifx LED strips. They are very good and you can control them via a smartphone or Google Home...."turn the bandsaw lights on" lol

Fitting a Kreg precision fence to Startrite 351E

Nice write up. I would echo your comments. http://www.thetoolboxscotland.co.uk/ These guys do the long fence extrusions. I bought mine a year or so ago. It's the only place I could find in the UK that sold them from stock. I'm sorry I don't recall the price but it wasn't as high as £72...

Routing a groove without a fence

How deep is the groove you're trying to cut? Making multiple passes may help. Clamp a piece of scrap wood to the mitre fence as a stop block to ensure you hit the same spot on your workpiece each time. If you chisel it, hand pressure should be enough assuming your chisels are sharp. My...

    Cheap wood flooring recommendations?

I can believe it. Further strengthens the case for self insuring. There really needs to be a proper legal framework for insurance charges, but there never will be, not in this country.

    Cheap wood flooring recommendations?

Fair one. I feel like giving them a call just to see what their position is. Not going to claim this time but it would be interesting to know if in principle, they would be prepared for us to DIY a repair if we simply provide the invoice for the flooring. My gut tells me no, because its in...

    Sharpening a stiletto blade

Will try that first. I reckon its blunt though, it's that new tape amazon started using I think, the reinforced stuff. I deal with a lot of parcels at times and it cant be very kind to blades to be cutting that sort of thing. Probably should get myself a simple box opener instead.

Hose / tubing for dust extracting

I've used the aluminium stuff. Over time it distorts around where its clamped to the extraction port of a machine and the air seal just gradually becomes worse. It's also a pain to get on and off if you need to, due to the distortion. Once it's damaged its hard to reform it. Then theres the...
