Actually, the article is largely about the incorrect interpretation of information out there, some deliberate, and which is disseminated on social media (and posts like this) which give a voice to conspiracy theorists and ultracrepidarians.

Not sure about venison price comparison as I'm lucky enough to have a neighbour who's a hunter so I get my venison and boar pretty cheap (and fresh).
You're right about the price of lamb though and the quality here is lower. Most NZ quality lamb is exported leaving us the poorer quality meat...

The model is beautifully detailed. It took me back to when I was a nipper and would visit the model ships exhibition in Sunderland Museum. (Wonder if it's still there?)

I was not trying to 'fault' anyone. Many humorous incidents arise from words having different connotations in different languages.
