Im not a mechanic but spent a lot of time under cars years ago I wouldnt feel safe under that type of ramp youve got no side entrance or exit if something should go wrong your also not going to be able to reach tools or parts and your also blocking your own light and never do it on the grass...
I use 6mm mdf cut around the size of a lolly stick but cut the sides at an angle so you can get right into the corners
i use spray mount to glue the sandpaper to it and if youve angled the sides you can use both sides
or if you have no mdf or dont like it 6mm birch ply works well and lasts longer
theres a demo for scroll saws at axminster high wycombe tomorrow if she can get there http://www.axminster.co.uk/stores/high-wycombe/
its about 30 mins drive from bracknell
Im a long way from you so dont know the timber merchants there i use tyler hardwoods marlborough wiltshire, interesting timbers near shepton mallet somerset and goulden hardwoods between Andover and Newbury, Berkshire .
tylers i get maple.ash and cherry normally a cube or more at a time...
i mainly 6mm round over cutter in a router table for rounding over on bandsaw boxes i would say that the dremel table is to narrow to do that with also your limited to what size cutters you can use.
