Thanks for this, good to hear you're happy with the hammer planer, seems like most of the reviews are good.
Will look into the extraction a bit more, might be better to stick with standard fine filter extraction instead of going for a cyclone 👍
Thanks for this, having a fine dust filter is a must. I went out on my own 3 years ago and have been breathing in dust ever since, so I want to get this sorted.
Do you think the hammer planer will be too lightweight? I mainly make chairs which tend to be smaller pieces but I would make around...
Thanks for the reply, I'll give that thread a read now.
I'm currently using a robland x31 combo machine for planer thicknesser and spindle moulder and a sip table saw. I've used the tersa blocks alot and they're great but I've heard lots of good things about the spiral blocks so I thought it...
Hey,
I'm looking into upgrading some machinery and wondering if anyone as any advice. I'm a full-time furniture maker and use only solid wood. I have around 25000 euro and need an edge sander, planer thicknesser, small panel saw and dust extraction.
I'm looking at getting a new planer...
Thanks for the help. I might look at getting one off another machine, maybe a Charnwood or Holzstar.
I'll try take a couple of pics tonight so you can compare with the original, if that helps
Thanks for all the replies. I've contacted Sip again and they said they'd definitely have them back in stock in November, so I've ordered one.
Might try to rig it up in the meantime, or maybe look for a replacement off another machine. Maybe a Charnwood, Holzstar or Scheppach???
Thanks again
Hi,
Just wondering if you'd have the contact for who you talked to in SIP. I've recently contacted them to order a new worm wheel and they said it's been discontinued.
Thanks,
Warren
Hi,
Just wondering would anyone know where to buy or have any alternatives to the 64104 worm wheel for this saw?
I've contacted Sip and World of Power who both said its been discontinued with no alternatives (seems a bit mad!)
Mine is totally gone and can't raise the blade more than 15mm...
