Hi folks, ukulele joe here again after a very long time alone, honing my skills, following your collective advice. I still love making things on my scroll saw, as you can see, (if I can attach my pic). I have met a young lady who has the self same interests as myself and the bonus is that she...

    Wax after oil

Hi folks, I have only ever used one wax which is Briwax and I can completely understand what you are saying about that "feel" after applying the wax and buffing it. It is as though you don't want to put the piece down that you have just finished. The smell it has is also great. I am working on...

He says that the bonus with the thicker end which is used most can be gently removed and re inserted the other way round. Hope this...

    workshop lighting

By accident I chose 3 double tube 5 feet long fittings. The tubes are plastic and in a shed the ceiling is low. Every now and then I catch them in some way or other and they just bounce a little but never break. Mine are "daylight" and are perfect for use on my scroll saw where I never bother...

    Router Bit Question

Hi mate, if you use a portable router the baseplate has one straight on it. If you work with the full rounded edge on your workpiece keeping pressure on then you will never tip over and the beauty is the bearing cutter will follow accurately the shape of the edges you are working on. Best...

My computer knowledge is practically nill so when you talk about 150 and 100 means nothing to me. I worked off the book that I purchased on 3d scrolling told me to increase to 140% which I did. I even had to Google how to do this and that just told me to go to "more options" which I could not...

    Scroll saw issues

Thank you AES, when I watched 3d scrolling on YouTube the operator remarked that if you wander off the line, don't try to go back but just continue and come back to the line. So my little friend is slightly fatter in places. It is true what he ,"only you know!" I am still considering upgrading...
