I’m pretty sure Bagpress do their own recipe - whether it’s anything much different from off the shelf PVA I don’t know. What I did find amazing when I saw it demonstrated is that he let the pressure off after only a couple of minutes and it was solid (bendy ply over wave like form).

Would you mind getting a price for delivery for the crucible furnace please? To Halifax, Yorkshire. You’d have to ask the courier but I guess it might not need palletising as forks would go right under the sand tray.

Just so everyone knows what they’re looking at, there are 2 x brazing hearths (for heating / brazing with a torch), 1 x chip forge (good for knife making) and 1 x crucible furnace for casting. Looks like a moulding bench too.

In a centre lathe you would probably try mounting something like this (or some variation) on a faceplate etc. You might get away with an independent 4 jaw chuck (I’m assuming yours in self centering). Or you might put the drill in the headstock chuck and mount the vee block on the cross...

‘Hardwoods’ is a bit vague…just like a saw or chisel it will cut balsa a lot quicker than oak. You just need to experiment, you might find certain materials it will barely penetrate. Every laser is a little bit different too, so there will be a variation even if someone with exactly the same...

There are plenty of ways to cut a profile. Myford Super7s are more pricy than the standard 7 so I wouldn’t let that put you off. A small turret lathe might work well for this and they can be cheaper as they’re less sought after.
